Looking for unfinished projects to purchase
I love to make costumes and I'm sure that there are many of you out there who do as well. If you're like me you get great ideas and start collecting things in order to put together a great costume but then loose steam before you finish and then shove it in a box or drawer never to be seen again. Well, I would love to purchase unfinished projects (beads, sequins, fabrics, trims, etc) either in their entirety or piece meal. It would keep me busy AND empty up some space for YOU to be filled with whatever you may find on Bhuz to refill it

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay Ladies here's the perfect time of the year to go through your projects that you know you'll never get to and sell them to me for some Christmas cash :-) As I have mentioned before my pain tolerance for projects is $30-$40 (I prefer cheaper of course but sometimes we just dont get what we want, do we?).
What I'm looking for:
Started projects that you KNOW you're never gonna finish or even start.
Old costumes that are beyond the wearing stage cause they are ratty or maybe you feel are a lost cause (I can always scavenge parts)
Old beaded dresses that you've purchased from the Thrift store thinking "That would make a great costume" and you still have it 4 years later (Yeah, you know the one I mean).
What I'm NOT looking for:
ANYTHING that you want more than $40 for. You may have paid more than that for it but if you haven't done anything with it in years, $40 for it is better than nothing and plus it's just taking up space in your closet.
Projects that look like a professional made it but you know you'll never finish it. I can't pay $400 for a project .... I just can't I know it's worth that, in time, supplies and sweat so I don't even want to go there. I make costumes too. No one knows how much of ourselves we put in these costumes.
Total junk, use your discretion, please.
Now lets get in there and look under your beds, closets, sewing rooms, where it is that you stash you stuff that you no longer have time for

Re: Looking for unfinished projects to purchase
This might be too done for you, but I have this one: http://www.bhuz.com/bellydance-swap-...ic-colors.html
I also have this fringe for sale. I also bought mixed colored seed beads and bugle beads with the intention of making a multi-colored costume. I can throw in the seed and bugle beads for free if you buy the fringe.

Re: Looking for unfinished projects to purchase
Man I am all over the place here(I'm new to Bhuz so excuse the mistakes or multi-postings). I had asked about the skirts before I realized they werent for sale. And I didnt see anything I could use with the other photos. I appreciate your taking the time to photograph these things though.

Re: Looking for unfinished projects to purchase
I have two project bedlahs, both far from done!
One is more or less of a petite set with blue base. I was in the process of tearing off all the garbage beads and was even going to replace the fabric base with aqua tafetta.. It has all the fringe still, aqua and gold, in a neat v-shape design.
The second is white base with silver sequins. Was also in the process of depopulating it of sequins. Had planned to recover it too. This one is a C/D set with medium belt. It came with silver and gold fringe, which I still have.
Let me know if either of these are of interest to you and I can send along some pics.
Thanks!

Re: Looking for unfinished projects to purchase
Hey Michala, depends on how much you want for these sets. I dont want to pay a lot for projects. I normally either totally take them apart for parts of other costumes I'm working on OR I will try to revive something no one wants cause it's either more trouble than it was worth to them or they just lost interest and it's just taking up space. I dont want anything that's gonna cost me over $100 cause If your smaller than I am (and it sounds like you are if these are petite costumes) I wont be able to wear them and they will become parts for something else. So you can decide if you want to take the time to photograph them or not. As I said I'm not looking for expensive redos that I have to pay a lot for.
I'm a D cup, about 33" around the ribcage. 40" at widedst part of hips and around 36 or 37" at the top of the belt area. Let me know what you decide. I am a beginner here on Bhuz and my PM nor notifications aren't working. brokentiles@yahoo.com is my email address if you need to get a hold of me
Thanks,
Sherrie

Ohh! Someone just directed me here.
I have a several "project" costumes listed here. One is completely unfinished with supplies, others are handmade costumes that are "done" but could use some improvements:
