Hello, all!

I purchased this Goddess Ma'at costume from Banatsusan in Mar 2010. I got it for a great deal at $300, because it was definitely in need of some serious TLC. I had intended to make all the fixes, but with a difficult pregnancy soon after purchasing (and a lovable, but high maintenance baby to follow) it didn't happen and won't happen anytime soon. I don't recall who was next in line after me, and the thread has been long since been deleted.

I want to be clear about all that is not perfect about it:
Bra Lining: needs to be replaced. I removed and washed bra lining and will send with costume for you to use as templates for new lining. I did not venture to remove the strap linings for fear of bead loss. You can clearly see one it's previous owners used self tanner...not me, there aren't enough bottles of tanner in the world to cover my level of pale. :-)
Sequins/beads: Many of the sequins have faded from turquoise to silver. Some of the long gold beads are tarnished. The huge pearl beads have lost the most color, but I think they could be painted? Giant crystals are all still in excellent shape!
Chiffon: Has some light markings on veil and skirt.
Armbands: Lycra bands have snagging from rhinestones, as is common with many costumes.

All this being said, it's still a beautiful costume with great crystals and rhinestones. I did wear it one time, and it still got tons of rave reviews from dancers and the public. If you've always wanted this style, but couldn't afford it, here's your chance. Or, if you're a handy seamstress, this will be a worthy project.

Measurements:
Bra cups: 6V x 6.5H x 7D
Bra band end to end: 36.5 in
outer cup to outer cup edges: 10.5 in
upper hip: unstretched 28 in, stretched 36 in (maybe more if not soft like me)
Lower hip: unstretched 32 in, stretched 42 in
Skirt length: front very top is 37 in, back very top is 38 in (this skirt can easily be tacked up under beading to make shorter.

Price: SOLD + paypal fees. I will ship flat rate if in the U.S.

Just chiming in here - I love this style and have had several in several colors, but for some reason my favorite is the fixer upper, the very first one I got and lovingly restored. Must be the rescue-dog costume syndrome. They never forget, and serve you loyally!

LOL, or very bad, depending on how you look at it! I've wanted one for years, when it rains it pours. I promised myself I'd make sure they'll fit and let something else go, I have an olive Bella bedlah I'm not too much in love with, and maybe a white/silver/gold Hanan bedlah.
