SOLD! Elegant SAHAR OKASHA olive/red
I bought this from the Bellydance Store a few years ago, and wore it only twice, hence why I"m selling it. The material is gorgeous, shimmering two toned, olive and red, depending on the angle of the light. The beading is very intricate with subtle colors of red, gold and olive shades, with several dangles in loops and strands strategically placed to show movement. The pictures don’t do it justice, and the body pics are very dark and blurry, sorry.Type: Full CostumeStyle: OrientalCostume Size: Not sure of size, or not applicableSeller's Country: USAStatus: Available
The pics show it in two different tints; Olive and Red. I tried to capture the true colors.

Here are the stats:
Bra: from the outside (I padded it, can take it out) 6V x 7H x 7.5D and is deep Dina style.
Band is stretchy to 32”, maybe more
Skirt: Upper hip soft and stretches to at least 34.5” (my size) and all the way to 37" probably snug, though. Very comfy, with attached mesh underwear - feels like you are wearing nothing:)
Length is lightly hemmed by me at 36”, but can be taken down to 38.5” original hem easily. There is a slit on the left side all the way up - very sexy.
Wristlets: two with dangles (see pic)
I made some changes to improve the costume;
1. I added several strands of beads to the skirt, to make it more dangly. The beads are almost identical to those on the costume….pretty amazing match. I also added more tiny crystals all over the skirt, (hard to see since they are very small, but it adds an overall glimmer).
2. Because it is a Dina style bra (and I’m very small on top), I worked to make it fit me. I sewed wire to the inside edges of the cups, so you can mold it better. I moved the straps inward a bit, so it hold the girls better, and I added a modesty panel that is mesh red (matches the mesh modestly panel I added on the skirt). The modestly panel can easily be removed. I also padded it. I learned how to do all this adjustments to a Dina bra on bhuz, and it really works.
3. I added a lovely mesh modesty panel to the slit on the skirt. It has a flower pattern on the bottom (see pic). This too can be removed easily.
Asking $375 + shipping (bought for $550)
Thanks for looking. PM me with any questions.Last edited by iritle; 12-19-2011 at 05:37 AM. Reason: sold!

Re: Elegant SAHAR OKASHA olive/red
I have seen this and agree that photos do not do it justice! It's highly iridescent all over which confuses the camera in flash photos. I'd call it olive with a dark red shimmer. I don't usually get excited about Sahar's; they often seem too modern and minimalist for my foofy taste, but I really love this one. Love the colors, love the fabric, love the beadwork, love it all!
I could only get about one leg into it of course
so I won't be the one to buy it!

I added a pic of the flower mesh panel. Plus I re-measured the hip to 37" (see discription change).

Re: Elegant SAHAR OKASHA olive/red
Hallo,
Beautiful costume, can I bother you with a few questions....namely;
What size boob would the bra fit (C? D?) do you think? I know it's a guess, but compared to yourself for example.
When you say the bra is 32" with more stretch, how much more stretch?
Would the hip size be bigger if the underwear is cut out?
And finally, if the hem is let out to the max (38.5"), does that mean that the modesty panel (very pretty btw!) would be still set at the current 36"? Or does it have more length too?
I know some of the answers are "guess" work but just to give me an idea....
Thanks & cheers

Re: Elegant SAHAR OKASHA olive/red
Rosemarie,
The bra length can stretch to 33", but that's a tight stretch - I don't know if people wear it that tight. I am very small on top, and that's why this doesn't fit right...its for a bigger gal. If I remember when I bought it, it said B/C, not sure if it would fit a D, but maybe with cleavage. There is a pic now with a tape measure underneath the cups you can see.
I didn't think about the modesty panel if you lengthened it, but it won't fit...there is no extra fabric on top. Too bad. The underwear doesn't make a difference if you cut it, its part of the top seam and keeps it all together nicely. But you can stretch it (snugly) to 37".
Hope this helps.

Re: Elegant SAHAR OKASHA olive/red
Thanks! I saw the picture with the tape... I can't tell where the eddge of the cups start.... I need one measurement to check fit. Would you please measure under the front cups of the bra, from the outer edges of the cups?

Re: Elegant SAHAR OKASHA olive/red
Bernie,
The end edges (far left and far right) of the bra angle down and inward about 45 degrees, so its hard to know where to measure from, so I put the tape on the farthest edge (top end) to the other edge. That looks like 12", and the bottom part is 10". Does that make sense? I never noticed that, but I think they must do that to cover more of the upper top part the girls spill out
