Peacock Blue and Gold Joharah Fixer Upper

This Joharah costume is so very beautiful at first glance. I love the peacock colors and it is very flattering. It has all it’s large stones. Unfortunately it is in very bad condition. I paid $200, but I can not in good conscious ask for that much. $150 (OBO) includes shipping and fees.

When I received this costume it was very dirty. I washed the costume and it came out really nice and shiny; smells fresh.

This is what the sellers description said: It is in great condition, it is missing 1 stone and there is some bead loss where the hooks meet but other than that it has a lot of life to it.

Condition Needs a Lot of Work: In the photos you can see that there is an approximately 2 inch area where the sequins and beads have been destroyed. I removed the skirt to put in a waist band so that I could wear the costume with different skirts. When I took a closer look at the hem of the skirt, it is in horrible condition. One layer was serged with black thread and the layer with the wire in it was folded over and sewn to make the skirt shorter; very bad job. I was going to throw away the skirt, it is that bad. But since I decided to sell it I will include it. It can be re-hemmed but I just don’t have the time right now.

The bra also has approximately 2 inch area where the sequins and beads have been destroyed where the bra hooks in back. One cup is also missing some sequin and beads. There is also one large stone missing.

The wrist bands are in good condition. The head band has some damage. You can use it to harvest beads and sequins to repair the damaged areas on the costume.

There are a set of arm drapes that are home made. The trim was sew inside out on one of the bands.

Any way this is a lovely costume for someone who will take the time and bring her back to her previous beauty.

Oh I'm sorry. You all were telling me to sell something else, not my Bella Tribal, so this one is going.

If selling this allows you to keep the Bella then all is well. I just didn't see the posting till a little while ago or I would have snapped it up myself. I LOVE projects :-)
