SOLD; Black Egyptian costume, lots of multicolored dangling fringe; $175
Emptying my closet...this is an older costume I bought from another dancer (they don't make them like this anymore) - it still has a lot of life in it. I got a lot of "Wow"s wearing it. It shows the hips and legs off beautifully.Type: Bra/Belt SetStyle: OrientalCostume Size: Not sure of size, or not applicableSeller's Country: USAStatus: Available
It has a lot of sparkling, dangling beads all over made of various stones and beads. The skirt bottom is unique; it has 7 panels that are partly sheer and beaded/sequined all though and around. It makes the turns so lovely, seeing all that "leg" peaking through.
Measurements:
Bra: from the outside (padded) 6V x 6.5H x 7.5D
band is 36" long
skirt: very stretchy all over hip, with zipper...fits my 34.5" upper hip easily, and has more stretch.
It covers hips in a stretchy material full of beading, about 15-16" from the top to where the panels start.
Length: I shortened the panels from the top where they start, to be 34"-35" (you can take it out to give you about another 1.5").
guantlets: are really small, like for a child...upper arm measurement is only about 8".
Note: there is sequin loss on the bottom of 3 of the panels, about a couple of inches each, but it is not noticeable (black sequins on black material). I tied loose ends so the sequins won't come out further. I think this was from stepping on the sequins. I will put a picture of these areas in my photobucket when I get home from work.
Asking $195 + shipping, Reduced to $175.

Would the lower hip work for 38-39" low hip? If so, would you be interested in a trade of anything here? The silver set is the only thing not available.

Hi Carynaddo,
I can stretch out the bottom hip to over 41". Your costumes are lovely, but I'm trying to cut down to just a few specific costumes now.

Would the top hop fit a 36-37 hip?

Working all night (every night...sigh...) so I'll stretch it and see when I get home in the morning. So many bababies to deliver

Alexisraqs, I can stretch it easily to 36+" but I don't know if it would feel too tight.
