Ok, these next two posts will be shorter than my last one...

Cabaret Dress



Gorgeous cabaret dress - it has a few small holes in the red mesh, the zipper needs replacing, and there are some holes in seams where they thread has broken. All of this is relatively easy to fix, I just don't have the time or motivation to do it.

I bought this off a local dancer without full disclosure for $400 (wasn't happy), have not worn it other than to try it on.
I am willing to sell as-is for $250 (will throw in some extra red mesh for fixing) or will fix it up and ask $350. Postage anywhere is included.

Dina-style top/cups, deep, 7x7x8 inches, with elastic back strap (can fit almost anyone); halter straps each 15.5", currently set to 22" total

Length from centre of bra: just short of 48"

Hips - 32" relaxed, wouldn't go more than 45" overall. Somewhere around the 40" mark seems to look best.

Just looking over it, I can't see any rhinestones missing, the beading looks to be in fantastic condition. There is one spot on the top back edge that has just started to lose a few plain black beads (less than one inch).

160cm / 5'3.5"

Some of the length is taken up with that round booty in the photo...

Plus the centre between the bra cups (where I measured from) is rather low, lower than I'd normally wear.

Bump for now, before taking it down to fix....

No problems.

I have considered taking the mesh out completely, that way it could be worn over your own body stocking (of your own choice in colour!), or without any mesh - easier for balancing swords on the hip that way. The mesh is just down each side, doesn't interfere with the line of the dress at all. :)

Taking out the mesh doesn't sound like a bad idea!! That's a good option ;-) How tall are you? I'm hoping it wont be too long on me...

Ah! I'm 5'0...I can't really tell, is there room for it to be hemmed or are decorations in the way? I do wear heels when I dance so that should make me closer to 5'1...:-/

There is beading all around the bottom of the dress, but it's just edging, it wouldn't really take away from the costume to hem it. The closest decoration to the bottom is on the black front panel, about 1.5" from the bottom. The other decorations start a good 3" from the bottom.

You can see it touches the floor in my pics - keep in mind that's because i'm standing with a bent knee! when standing upright, the dress grazed the top of my foot. :)
