Was told this was a Sahar when I bought it - I have seen this exact costume on her facebook page, but I am not sure of its authenticity now - which is reflected in the price. Absolutely gorgeous, very elegant. Bought this from another dancer, but alas I can't make it work for me. UH is 33 unstretched, LH is generous and can go much bigger. Skirt is 39 in length. Bra fits a 34C nicely, bra band could go smaller if necessary. Originally asking $300 (paid over 400), now only asking $250!

are you sure it is a sahar? i have never seen her bead around the edges like that, or bead like that in general. i'm just curious, this could be super unique if it is one!
does it have her label on the inside (usually red and gold) or the tiny silver S dangling from anywhere?

Hm...I am not sure now. I did not know about these signs when I bought this, though I have seen this costume on her facebook page. Regardless, it doesn't fit me so I will have to sell. Will adjust price accordingly.

i think this is the one you might mean, this is the only sahar bows i have seen. this one is really one of a kind if she made two!

yup that's the one! I paid $450 for this, but dropping the price to $300 now since I can't say for sure it's a Sahar or not :-\

Could you tell me what would be the maximum upper hip measurement when stretched?

I just measured it stretched, I would say it's UH 35" max stretched.

This ebay vendor steals pictures from various designers. If you glance at their other items, you'll see bellydance store and dahlal photos, as well as photos watermarked from other sites Looks to me like the bow costume latriamou posted is a Sahar and the vendor is selling knock offs. Buyer beware

the photo that i posted is from sahar okasha herself, i think that the costume for sale here may be inspired by it, if it is not a sahar itself. ( as it has been stated without a label no one knows for sure)

as for the ebay auction, they have taken sahar's photo and cut off the head- anyone who knows sahar would recognize her model right away, so they cut it off. There is no way the quality will be the same for 260, but knock-offs do happen.

None of this should keep anyone from buying this costume. 1. she has been honest about whether it is a sahar or not. 2. she is not saying the costume is the same to begin with and 3. it is probably MUCH better than whatever will be received via the ebay auction

I agree, I also think this one posted is really pretty. It has a Mamdouh kind of look to it! If it were just a little smaller, I'd get it!!!

I'm only a 29 upperhip, do you think I can make it that small with an elastic? I don't have any sewing skills :-s

Looks kind of like a Mamdouh Salama to me...

It's a pretty costume and she disclosed her question of authenticity. When I first posted on Bhuz, I was selling a Noussa and didn't know it then, and several Bhuzzers kindly updated this. If I were in the market for a purple I'd be stalking this sparkler!

Sorry for the long lag in posting! I have not been getting any emails telling me there's activity on the thread, so I hadn't checked!

But Luna, I definitely think this can go smaller - all you'd have to do is pinch on either side and sew it down - since it's an A line it would work well. Alternatively you could overlap where the bow is.

Yes! The bottom is un-embroidered.

I think that this is lovely- if the bra was bigger, I'd probably be in line for it!

I should probably actually measure the bra. I made my bra cup assessment based on...guesstimate? Stay tuned, I will try to post pictures with measuring tape across the bra toorrow! Perhaps it might fit!

Sorry I didn't answer sooner! The measurements seem good :) But... I must think about it! It is not quite the style I am looking form, but it's really a pretty costume,and it seems really sparkly!! i'm thinking mamdouh as well, based on the bling used....sahar doesn't decorate like that, tho mamdouh and sahar have similar silhouettes....sahar also make skirts cut on the bias, but mamdouhs are nice, and this is a lovely cossie
