I am the new owner of this costume, via Stardust (photos from the original thread)

This costume is GORGEOUS, unique, and in excellent condition.

The skirt (which was too small for Stardust) is a perfect fit on me. My hips are 38-40" upper, 42" lower.

The bra cups just aren't deep enough for my 36Ds. I removed the padding to try it on, but no way is this going to work. With the padding in, it should work for an A/B cup, but even without the padding, it won't go larger than a B/C.

The back of the bra is all clear for a very modern look!

Here are the measurements Stardust took, I think they're accurate
• Bra, measured from end to end is: 34/34 & a half Inches.
• Horizontal, measured pressing into the cups: 6/6 & a half Inches.
• Vertical: 6 Inches.
• Diagonal: 6 & a half Inches.

• There are clear straps, the bra is currently padded.
• There are 2 black arm bands that come with it.

• Measured across the top of skirt, laying flat is: 15 Inches, can stretch quite a bit more.
• Length of skirt, have taken a few measurements as the skirt is higher on one side:
• Length from the middle at the front: 37 & a half Inches.
• Length at the side with the split & pink fabric: 40 Inches.
• Measures 41 Inches on other side.
• 39 & a half Inches at the back in the middle.


Asking what I paid, $388, plus $20 total for shipping/paypal fees. I've paid for shipping to the US, I'll eat that cost.

What is happening with the pink sashes off the bra. What are you to do with those?

From the first photo, it looks like the original owner just draped them prettily & tucked them into the sides.

Theoretically, they could also meet behind the lower back or attach (snap?) to the sides/back of the skirt?

I was playing with bringing them around the outer edges of the cups & behind the neck, like a wide halter. I really liked that look, very old-school Hollywood (and a little less naked-feeling). If I were keeping the costume, I'd tack them in place along the outer edges of the cups & add snaps behind the neck.

Hmmm, love it, but I am afraid the cups might be too small for me also. I am a full C. Things are so difficult to sell right now on Bhuz, more than ever we need to sure it will fit. There was a day when turnover was wild :)

it's so hard to say! I'm a 36D and it's just flat out too small for me. (though if I wrap the fabric around the sides of the cups it helps some).

If you're a very full C cup, bordering on a D cup, I'd say it's risky. But if you're more of a small-medium C cup it could work very nicely!

For me the biggest problem is the height of the cups! So check to see that 6" from your bra band straight up at the highest point of the cup seems like it will offer you the right kind of coverage. It's supposed to be sexy, obviously, and fit almost like a mermaid top....but in my case it's just gross!

Can the extra fabric drape down the center of the bra? and how long are they?

Would you consider a trade? I have a pink and black Eman as well, older style but beautiful and bra might fit you better... let me know. :)

As it is the fabric pieces are too wide to just drape down the center, although it wouldn't be hard to remove them completely, trim them down, and make anything you wanted out of them (personally I'd love to see a giant pink bow at the outside of one of the bra cups.) You'd have to remove & replace the flower at the bra center to do it, though, OR cut the pink fabric close to it (the flower is sewn on through the pink fabric drapes).

Each one is 24" long and 7.25" wide, and hemmed.

I have too much stuff right now and really need cash... but I'm weak and could probably be talked into a trade if a costume really grabbed me! Doesn't hurt to show me pictures.

it was too big on Stardust's hips and fits mine at 38 pretty well. It's 30" unstretched across the hips (hard to measure because the top isn't straight!)

I'm thinking it *could* fit, but only with some elastic added, or sewn-in booty shorts, maybe.

Gah... still looking at this. The measurement that you are giving for the "Hips", is that along the top of the waistline? The top looks very tiny. I am built straighter than curvy, so not sure.

The skirt rides a little higher on the sides than a usual costume, and higher on the sides than in the center. My usual-bellydance-costume measurements are upper hip 38-40" (depending on the day LOL) and lower hip 42" and the skirt fits me beautifully, if that helps. (I'm not wearing it quite as high as the original owner in the pic).

I'd love to tempt you with a trade but I must have mis-read the original post because it seems the upper hip on this will be too big for me. Sorry :(

i like this but am unsure about the bra size . I'm a C cup ...I'll measure my other Eman cups .

But i'm wondering about those pink fabric swags , what are those exactly ?

Actually the cups are ok ..I have some that are that small and they work .

Would you be willing to trade ? I have this one available .

The cups are 7inches diag 7 across and 6 verticle .

That's gorgeous! I'm on my way out the door, but I'll measure some cups & check in tonight. What are the hips & the length on that one?

Okay when I bought it it was too big . I measure 35 upper hip . So I put in shorts and alittle bit of elastic and darted in 2 of the seams a smidge . Laying flat as it is its 29 inches it stretches easily to 38 by hand . You could easily remove any of these things to make it bigger.

The length is 38 mostly . Some spots 39 .

Oh, of course, sorry I didn't get back to you more quickly. Your Eman is gorgeous, but I really need to try to sell for cash if I can. If neither one sells after a while, maybe we can revisit the idea of a trade later?
