Missing Black lace Dalia of Cairo costume. I wore this costume last night for the USA Belly dance Queen Competition in Arizona at the Wild Horse pass Casino. I only wore it to take a couple of group pictures and it was put away on a small clear zip up plastic bag. I was the last one to leave Acacia Ballroom B and when I left the room it was already gone. I have asked the Casino staff and no One has turn it in.

If any of you have seeing it please let me know. This is a one of a kind costume there are only two costumes made like this by my belly dance Idol, Dalila of Cairo and only she and I own one. I will give a small compensation to the person that turns it in.

Wishing you a quick recovery of your unique beauty. Also thinking a swarm of locust on the vermin that stole it would be minimum punishment. Well, that and always breaking bra straps, losing half the beaded fringe on each costume during each routine and maybe bent or cracked zils. Seems fair, right? (I was conservative in my wording, initially I had much more harsh thoughts.)

Have you contacted the organizers of the event. Possibilities: they have event insurance that would cover the loss; they could contact other participants by email letting them know what you are missing (perhaps someone picked it up by mistake or at least you might get second thoughts from someone who lifted it from you). I once came home from an event with an extra identical pair of jazz shoes that I picked up by accident. It happens sometimes. At least if the other participants know that it is basically one of a kind someone might realize that they can't wear it or sell it without being noticed.

Anything on camera? That is horrible! I know how it feels to have a costume stolen - I had one stolen, then found at a thrift shop! Good luck and I will have my eyes out for this beauty!

Wow, I guess that is what thieves resort to once they discover they can neither wear it or sell it. (sigh). How terrible. And I was sad because I had one of my beautiful silk veils taken as a "souvenir" at a restaurant when I recently performed. It just magically disappeared, poof!!

You know that is a good point about surveillance cameras. Casinos have high end security BY DEFINITION.

Check with management and don't be shy.
