NEEDS TLC~DISCLAIMER: COSTUME CAME TO ME WELL WORN, SOME OF THE METALLIC SHINE HAS WORN OFF THE BACK OF THE SKIRT NEAR THE HIPS AND BOOTY AREA. SOME METALLIC SHINE WORN OFF THE GAUNTLETS ALSO; SMALL STAIN ON CHIFFON INSERT. COSTUME WAS HEMMED BY PREVIOUS OWNER. COSTUME SHOWS SOME SIGN OF WEAR, BUT IS STILL SUPER SPARKLY!!

BRA, SKIRT, GAUNTLETS, HEADBAND AND VEIL

[B]MEASUREMENTS

CUPS: B/C, lightly padded
7"Dx6"Vx6"H-measuring tape pushed in
UNDERBUST: 34.5" max

SKIRT:

UH: 33.5" (I am 34.5" and it seems to fit just fine, but that's the max-some stretch with elastic, maybe .5" more if remove elastic; also has a zipper)
LH: 36" unstretched (I am just over 38" now, and it fits, also fit when I was closer to 39, but was tight) 39.5" max stretched-tight

HEM: Fits me like a 34". Has a circular hem, ranging from 34-35". Chiffon insert is 32".
I have the bottom hem which had been cut off. The hem looks very nice, but is too short for me, and I have not had time to alter it. I also have additional pieces of chiffon as well as the veil which matched the costume.

Purchased this lovely Bella on Bhuz for a specific show and thought I would have time to alter it...ha ha, not likely!! I did reinforce the hooks, but nothing else. The skirt had fading on the back side (metallic) and on portions of the gauntlets. The bra looks very nice still. I purchased gold, egyptian glass beaded fringe and some gold accents thinking I would fix the fading as well as re-sew the bottom of the hem back on...didn't happen!! I will include these for the buyer if desired.

Certainly! I need to wait for tomorrow so I can get more "natural lighting" in my house for the pics though. I will also re-measure for exact cup measurements and all.

Thanks for posting the photos, although some are really small and not so easy to see what is going on. Maybe that's just my poor eyesight : ) Anyway, on the picture of the front of the skirt......are you showing a loss of the metallic shine on the right front side as well as on the back of the skirt?

wow that's some wear in the booty! Is it also in the left bra cup and into the front as well? I have an idea on how to fix it so I will step in line I think there is a couple still in front of me so let me know

That's a good question, too, Cheekylauren. Of course, dalilab will know for sure, but it looks to me like the right side of the bra has two different fabrics and maybe what you are seeing is a more chiffon fabric and therefore no shine. Anyway, I'll be interested to get more information as well. I'm definitely still in line and I don't know about the dancer ahead of me. Have a great day, ladies!

There is some wear of the metallic shine on the front of the skirt although definitely not as noticeable as the back! I will double check the bra tonight. Definite wear in the booty : ( another reason I haven't worn the costume yet; although I did have a plan to use gold fringe to cover it...maybe in a v shape?

This fix is way over my head, so I'll pass. Whoever gets I wish the best of luck and please post photos so we can see how you doctor it back to good health ; )

Yeah that's what I was trying to figure out with the bra. It's a little hard to see what is going on and it seems Bella was playing with different sheens and textures on purpose with this one Oh and I think you are at the top of line now girlie!

Yeah that's why I try to avoid that holographic micro dot fabrics... it really limits life of the costume! Covering with fringe could work, though you would also have to hide the seam of the fringe. I think there are a lot of ways it could be repaired just depends on experience and time and so on. Though I am not too terribly experience I kinda hodge podge through most sewing. How is the wear on the beads and fringe?

The beads and fringe look pretty good, and the crystal still have a lot of shine. The worst is the metallic shine loss and to a much lesser degree, the small, light stain at the bottom of the chiffon insert (can probably be washed out, but I haven't tried). Also, I think one of the hooks might be rusty, but that's an easy fix.

There is a tiny area on the left bra cup at the bottom that is less shiny, but not really noticeable as it is under the hanging fringe. I think the bra looks pretty good in general.

Not being a crafty person by nature, I have sent an email to Bella with a link to these pictures in the hope she might have some good advice for restoring the costume. I realize I am next in line, and I don't want to hold things up. Do you think you could give me 24 hours to decide? If I hear back from her I might know better whether or not I would be able to handle this kind of job. Let me know! It is a great costume

What a great idea, hadn't thought of that! I am also willing to lower the price a bit if the buyer does not want the fringe and appliqués....

Don't know if it can help someone to take decision but I've got this one with a gold chiffon on the back added to cover the booty where gold completely dissapeared like in this Bella:

You can maybe make a tail like in 2010 costume (gold one pic of the back)

There is some beige champagne fabric left (enought to make a tail) and I am ready to send it for free to the buyer!
