    SOLD - Red Glitter Sahar-alike project $100

    SOLD

This is a dancer made costume that is similar to a Sahar basic style. It is really pretty quality fabric and very comfortable. It shows no signs of wear. I was going to fancy it up, but I just don't have time these days.

I did open the skirt and bra up, I was going to do some red rhinestone connectors and some black sequin lace booty shorts...ah, the best intentions.

Anywho, you can just sew the skirt closed and sew back on the little bra connect if you want it clean and simple, maybe throw on a broach, or you can fancify in your own way. There are so many possibilities.

(my red dance spankies that I'm wearing in the photo are not included)

    Measurements

    Skirt
waist - 27"- 36" stretched (if you close it without putting decoration in between)
    40" long - easily hemmable

    Bra
    A/B, C with cleavage
    cups 5 1/2" up-n-down & 7" side to side
underbust, elastic so huggy, 27" to 36"

Is the fabric scratchy? I cannot tell via the pix but it resembles a fabric from the past called boucle. Do I gather the skirt is not sewn together on the left hip? Trying to determine if I am understanding the pix. Intent pending answers. I will be offline for a few hours but should be checking posts here soon.

The fabric is glitter, so the outside is a little scratchy, but it is soft on the inside. It is certainly more comfortable than many costumes I've owned.

It is not currently sewn together on the hip, which is why I'm holding it in the photo. I cut it apart to do something like this:

Finally back home. Is the glitter glued on the fabric, the type that sheds? Last time I worked with that fabric I somehow ended-up with glitter in my eye. Eventually I had to see a Doctor and wear an eye patch. Some glitter fabric sheds more than others. What is your opinion of the shed factor? I promise, last question. My next input will be a definite answer.

Well, yes it sheds a little, all glitter fabrics do. It is not the worst offender I've had my hands on by a long shot, not even close. So, you could probably safely work on this without protective eyewear, so long as you don't rub your eyes a lot while you are working with it. Glitter eye does not sound like fun.

After thinking about it last time I worked with glitter fabric I had a full bolt. Over 30 yards. I recall flipping yardage in the air as I was working with the many pattern pcs for a large group. Foolish on my part but I grew weary of the mass of fabric. This project would be much simplier. I will purchase the costume. Please advise your Paypal info and I will pay as soon as I read it.
