Thread: Are you having Private Message or Notification problems?

If you are not getting private messages, please let me know by posting here in this thread. I can fix this problem.

Regarding notifications of responses to your posts, first check your profile to make sure that you entered your correct email address. Click on Settings at the very top of this page (under the star) and then click on Edit email and password.

Then, check the settings for General Settings > Messaging & Notification > Default Thread Subscription Mode: Choose Instant Notification, or something similar - don't choose no notification.
You can choose which threads you subscribe to by clicking on the subscribed threads link that is in the explanatory paragraph.

Mine says I have private messages unread but there are no unread messages.

I have fixed your account.

I'm not sure if I'm getting my PMs anymore since Bhuz's problems a few days ago

Private messages don't work for me, nor the search function. It's been like that for a long time now, but I'm only reporting now...

Someone sent me a private message and I got a receipt for it but no message.

Please put your email address in your settings. This could be related to the problem you are having.

The notifications tab tells me I have 1 notification. When i click on it, it says I have one unread pm but when I click on the link it takes me to my inbox and I have only one old message in there.

I have my correct email in settings.

I'm still getting the 1 unread pm notification though. Is this normal?

I'm having trouble receiving PMs, but people are able to receive them from me. I am also not receiving notification of them.

Yes I am. It says click on my marketplace tools on the right hand corner But there is nothing that says that. I put it in search and it only brings me to the forum. I go into my Messages and see you have a private message . But it only says to go to my marketplace tools Nothing says that to click on. I am getting very frustrated because a dancer wants to buy something from me and I can not contact her. Cant we just have emails go to our profile inbox. I do not understand what is going on.

I dont seem to be getting my Pm's any more :-(

Sorry you are having trouble! You can try this --
Log out of the site, make sure you are logged out of every open page. Close all BHUZ pages. Next, clear your cache (temporary files and browsing history). Details on how to do that are here - Clear Your Cache
After you do that, close the browser you are using, and then log in again from a fresh browser.

Also, I recommend that you use the Chrome browser, it is fast and clean. You can download it here
