Festival on the Nile in May? Our very own Aradia is the workshop instructor!

I'm excited too! I've heard great things about this event, it will be my first time in Orlando, so I'm really jazzed about the trip and your warm weather!! I was just in Alaska, it was 11 degrees in the morning, brrrr!

You'll love the warm part and but hopefully the humidity will be nice 'cause I am sure it will be more than you are used to. Right now it is pretty low--around 60%--well, low for Florida!

My good friend Meleea ( the Lady of the Feather Fans) is going!!! She's going to be performing too . . . probably with her fans. . . . but I am not sure which night.

Oh that's great!! I bought a set of Meleea fans for my secret habibi on Bhuz! I'm looking forward to meeting her!!!

Hehe, she will report back to me on what you taught, how well you taught, etc!! We always are exchanging information about workshops we take when we don't go together!This workshop was just too close to my Cairo trip to have considered doing it . . . can't do everything and it has gotten so hard to decide what to do when travel is involved!

Madrina, I think I actually met you a few years ago at a workshop in Gainesville. You were sick with flu or something. Probably not the best time to meet someone. Bug for sure lets look each other up at Festival. Maybe we can have a Bhuz table at the Saturday luncheon and fashion show.

Oooh-yes, I remember that time in Gainesville!! I came down with a bad cold then. I wont be arriving to Festival till Saturday evening in time for the show because of my work. I will be there Sunday. Maybe we can all meet on Sunday lunch time?

I talked to Shari the other day, and she said I already had 100 students enrolled, and she is expecting a lot more as we get closer!! This is going to be fun!!!

Can't wait! But unfortunately I had to cancel performing tonight. Got an unexpected project at work dumped on me yesterday and I have to have it finished by this afternoon. Its a 4-5 hour drive for me down to Orlando and there is no way I can do what I have to do here at the office, drive for 5 hours, get there in time to turn in my music and get dressed, and still be in the right frame of mind to perform at a big event like that. No point being stressed and less than my best in front of a big audience full of dancers.

Boo hoo!!! I love dancing at Festival on the Nile...there is always next time. But on the upside, I get to watch Aradia and Madrina dance Saturday night.

what a great group of dancers!! I had so much fun at Festival, the after party drumming with line dancing was a blast.
Souzan it was so great to meet you and hang out!! We have a lot in common with our hearing loss, at least it gives us an excuse to ignore people..l;, Oh, I'm sorrry I didn't hear you!!

Great to meet you too and have a chance to sit and chat. Your classes were fabulous. I loved the mix of technique and choreography. And your notes!!! Wow! So many workshop instructors don't provide notes or music. I am a notetaker too and go back and refer to my notes frequently.

I missed Saturday night performance and party this time. I was staying with my sister and my niece had a soccer awards banquet that I could not miss. But I am looking forward to the show dvd! Sometimes Jim Boz comes for Festival party even when he is not teaching.

You really need to do some more instructional dvds....
