Thread: Vegas in Dec.?

Is there anything going in the month of Dec.? Dance classes that are worthwhile to drop into/recommended teachers for private lessons/workshops? Places to shop? Thanks ..g.: !

We have a monthly hafla that's run by Samira, I'm sure she will chime in here soon and give you the exact dates. I teach privates, as does Saida, if you like tribal fusion I can put you in contact with Britt, and Marisa teaches Suhaila format as well. Do you know the travel dates? Maybe some of the local gals can meet up with you at Marrakech where I perform. Yasmin and Samira are always up for a night out, as are the members of my dance company!! We can also hit a few hookah lounges, Estela works at Al Masra, beautiful dancer, kind of a young Arabic crowd, but good food, no room to really dance, but again good food and dancer!!

Hi! There is always something happening in Vegas! I hope you enjoy your trip..I don't dance at a permanent place anymore because I travel...but hope to know your dates and maybe we can meet up. Actually, I am dancing at Almaza on the weekends with Sacha ...but who knows where I will be then but would like to at least get to say hi in person! There are a few other places with dancers as well...so keep me posted and I will do the same when the time gets closer!
Also, If I am in my new house by then (just put an offer on one)...it has a studio...and I will be teaching as well. Take care! Viva Las Vegas!

I think I'll be there from Dec. 12-16th (leaving sometime on the 16th). At this time I'm not interested in doing anything with tribal fusion (like it but am concentrating on cabaret). I'm starting to think about what I want to learn in general in private lessons... Perhaps some Turkish style things, more combos, stuff of that nature

The only things are I will not have a car.

Turkish was my first style of dance I learned back in the old days, so I teach vintage Turkish from the 60's-70's. I also teach Lebanese and Egyptian, I usually hold classes at Marrakech during the day for my out of town students because it's 5 min from the strip.

Whoo hoo!! Our holiday hafla is on the 13th!! Of course, it's a Saturday night in Vegas...so I'm not sure that our local hafla will be as attractive as the lights of the city; however, it is a nice hafla....and not far from the strip.
