Thread: Cairo after AWS

Hi Guy's -
Is anyone going to be in Cairo after AWS?

If all goes well with my work travel schedule - I am hoping to be in Cairo from July 6th thru the 13th.

I would love to meet up w/ some fellow bhuzzers while I'm there - I know good places to shop ..g.:

An you who are in Egypt at the beginning of July, consider going to Alexandria and attend "The World Dances with Mahmoud Reda" in the Library of Alexandria. Five shows between July 1 and 5, five dance companies from Europe (including ours, El Hosseny Dance Company from Finland), Egyptian male dancers of Mahmoud Reda Troupe. This event was performed also last summer and was a big success among the Egyptian audience. Tickets are cheap and available from the door.

It looks like I'll just miss you. I'll be on the Nile cruise beginning July 8, arriving back to Cairo on July 13.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from Cairo to Alexandria? Is it a car trip distance, train distance, or flight distance?

Car, train or microbus all work. It takes about 2 hours, or 3? Can't remember exatly. Alex isn't so far from Cairo.
