Dallas, TX? I'm so happy that Little Egypt is bringing in Dandash to teach. Yippee..g.: !

Little over 6 weeks to go till the big event!

Wish I could go! But I agreed to teach at Bellypalooza in Baltimore, not realizing that they were the same weekend. Hmm, where's that dancer cloning machine...??

Of course, I'll be around! Trying to decide what to do . . . too many choices and I know I can't do it all. How to limit myself to one workshop per day???? That is almost impossible and I always overdo it . . . so then I am limping around for a few days after the workshop, lol!!

No, no, no! Not this year...again! I told myself I cannot do any more out-of-state workshops. No money for that. So yeah I'm missing out on Orit and Ahlan Cairo Nights.

Anyway, you guys know what to do. We need a full rundown of the event including photos!!!

LOL, I noticed you just posted about signing up for Sahra's intensive . . . i think that will take up a lot of $$$$ and provide you with much food for thought. I have the same problem with the out-of-state workshops . . . so I am just lucky to have ACN in the same city with me.

HI! I will know in the next couple of days if I am able to go. I got asked to dance in the Friday night show...it is so exciting...but I may have a prior commitment.. I am trying to re-arrange something to be there..It will be so great to meet up with all of you! Zahena....will you be there???

Yeah, I live in LA so all I gotta do is drive on down. So even though I'm missing out on going to Dallas and Orlando, I'm still getting Sahra, so it's just as good!

With a knee injury (from Feb.) & plantar fasciitis on one heel, I don't know how I'll get thru the whole seminar,f:: . So I know how you feel. I'll try to get thru it the best I can. Wanted to lose weight before the event (take pressure off the foot), but so far only lost around 11 lbs. I guess it is better then nothing. Still have almost 2 months to go, so maybe I can lose another 10 or 15 lbs. Best of luck with the workshops, maybe we can encourage each other to get thru it . Hope to see you there and take care.

Anyone know who's in the competition lineup this year? Little Egypt doesn't have it posted on their website as they've done in the past.
I took a look at the DVDs of the 2007 competition which I wanted to buy, and I noticed there's only 12 dancers listed in the Queen of Raqs sharqi competition. Were there only 12 that competed last year?
I have the DVD set from 2005 and there were 30 dancers. ..c::

Dee Dee told me that she'll be having the dancers up on the website at the end of the month, apparently there are dancers coming from paris and canada so far this year :o)

It's taken a while for me to get things to fall into place, but I'll be there! Wouldn't miss it. I love studying with Dina, Dr. Mo, etc., and I'm looking forward to Dandesh! Whoohoo!

Since I am now free (for the summer anyway) on Saturdays I am going to try to make at least the Friday night show to rub some elbows and see some folks! I might try to take some Dr Mo because I love him!

Of course, it all hinges on whether or not my girls ride in the show on the 3rd. CAN'T THEY JUST HAUL THEMSELVES TO THE DANGED HORSE SHOW?!

Dee Dee has been in Egypt so it might take a while to get the confirmation but my experience is even if you don't hear from them, they are great about keeping track of stuff coming in.

Little over two weeks away now! So excited to see Dina perform live again (I cried last time I saw her live) and a private lesson with Dandesh. EEK! So excited!!!

I will be there as well! I am looking forward to seeing Dina and Randa live again, they are both so fantastic!! My hubby was going to go with me (he wanted to see Dina perform again), but he started a new job, so I will be traveling solo!
