Re: Bellydancing at Pennsic XXXVII?
I am a big fan of Wine & Alchemy and followed them as much as possible. Carmine was there (need I say more?) and I think Melissa the Loud of Djinn was around for a few days, but took it easy. Pittsburgh's own Ishtar played frequently, and Raquy was around for two nights (she stayed in our camp one night!). Some Khafif musicians played. And, yeah, Teribus played frequently - great fun guys!
Then there were lots of individual musicians - I in awe of my campmate Denys (of Turku, most of the band members had other committments) - he is an amazing musician who plays more insturments than I can name and is a great guy. I enjoyed the music of August of the Mezmer Society who was amazing on accordion and has a great voice. Liam (who often plays the bouzouki) is always a delight ;-) Mary/Zahira impressed me with her playing, both drums and ney (and she's such fun!). Brett from Richmond played a mean saz. Paul Ash (of La Notte fame) was around and played a bit. And, given that I just returned from a wilderness trip, I probably forgot many great people - sorry!

Re: Bellydancing at Pennsic XXXVII?
I have to say this was one of the best Pennsics I have ever had. The weather was amazing. The music and haflas were astounding. I loved having the opportunity to host a hafla in camp this year (thanks Watan for all the help!!!!), and we are gonna try to do another one next year. :-)
I even picked up a Saz and took about 5 lessons while at Pennsic this year!!!
Hope you liked the class acmcgraw, and it really wasnt an episode of "what not to wear", more like a suggestion for folks to just know WHAT it is they are wearing ;-)
