Thread: Aradia in Fayetteville, Arkansas!

Who's coming to take the Aradia workshop in Fayetteville, AR July 18 & 19? I'm way excited for her to be in the area. I think I have told everyone in town and so many people are coming to the show! Terry has organized shimmyfest this year and she has quite the line-up of dancers that will be performing! yay!

I am doing FREE photoshoots at shimmyfest. Yes, you heard me right! I set up lights and a backdrop at the workshop/show. No purchase is necessary. You only buy what you want - if you want! I did this last year with great success and I believe it will be even more popular this year! I did tons of photoshoots and uploaded images online. The dancers bought what they wanted.
Everyone bought photos last year because my prices were AWESOME!!! I photographed the entire show and uploaded the images online so .... everyone had the opportunity to buy a pro photo that was AFFORDABLE!!

This year should prove to be the best shimmyfest yet! Aradia teaching, awesome vendors, a great hotel, and lots of fun!

I can't wait, I talked to Terry last week and she already had 75 people signed up from all over, Oklahoma, Nebraska!! We are going to have a ball, and anyone coming definitely take advantage of Lena's photography, she is excellent and very artistic, we did a shoot with 6 photographers at Red Rock Canyon when they were in Vegas!!!

It's now up to 88 folks! She had to add on more ballroom space!!! OMG!

I promise I won't be sick this time either! Vegas was nice but MAN I was sick sick sick!!!!

Cool, maybe we can bypass my numbers from festival on the nile, we had 100 students sign up!!!

I leave for Arkansas tomorrow, I think we have about 100 students enrolled!! Lena are you the only Arkansas gal on Bhuz?? I think the humidity is going to kill me, I'm used to the dry desert!! Also, are mosquito's out? Again, we don't really have them here in Vegas!

Andrea2 and I are going to be road-tripping down!

Quick question - the event sounds like there are a ton of people registered - Is it sold out? We'd hate to drive down and find out there wasn't any space left in the workshop. I called and left a message, but sometimes the Bhuz hive brain can answer faster!

There's lots of room. I'm sure Aradia is going to have to switch dancers out from front to back. Do the rotation thing. This is the biggest shimmyfest yet. We've been doing this since 2002 - so it's built up over the years.

OMG - mosquito's - YES. Humidty - not so bad....it's been worse.

I think I am the only Arkansas chicky on bhuz that reads the boards.

Oh oh oh.....Aradia - we are taking you to Cheap Thrills - so if you have a poster/postcard you can autograph for the owner - they would LOVE you! Princess Farhana has hers hanging up so they want to add you. It's a vintage clothing shop that has some really fun and neat stuff in there.

I can't wait! I'm going with Terry to pick you up tomorrow night! We'll teach you the "woo pig sooey" and definitely take you for a visit around town. We just wonder what restaurant you wanna go to. Southern BBQ? Fried pickles? YUM!!!??? YAY! - I am so excited.

And antimony - find me at shimmyfest and tell me you're a bhuzzer. I'd like to finally put faces with names. I'll be wearing a "diva" shirt and walking around like I'm lost all day. I do that every year. So many people and not enough time to visit.

AND my dears - I hope you all are into an after party because the BobbiSox (nightclub) is inside the Clarion and we go down there and dance our butts off!! And the DJ always plays a middle eastern tune for us and we clear the floor. All the rednecks and cowboys stare at us and they are all saying "wtf" and then they see us dancing. It's great!!!

At least 9 of us from Tulsa are coming! I'm so excited, I've been packed since Monday.

This sounds like it's going to be fun, glad we have out of state dancers coming!! I will load up on the bug sprayi!!!..l;,

We just got home a couple of hours ago, and I am wiped out! All that popping up and down during the Turkish combos did a number on my quads!

Andrea2 and I had a fabulous time, and met a number of bhuzzers. Everybody was so sweet and welcoming to us two out-of-town visitors. We'll definitely be back next year!

Even though I picked up a cold, it was well worth the trip! Aradia will give you the sweet Snow White smile and kick your butt. And you will thank her for it. ..l;, I had a lot of fun and learned tons, and I can honestly recommend attending her class. Speaking of, Aradia is possibly coming to a Midwest near you. Stay tuned...

Whitney, I looked for you at the show but couldn't find you. The place was packed and we ended up standing in the back. It was good meeting you!

Yuck, sorry you got a cold! I managed to get a seat near the front. It was great meeting you two, too!!! The workshop was fabulous! The flat tire I got on Saturday between workshop and show... not so much, lol.

I had such a great time in Arkansas, you all were so much fun, and had a great energy!! So far we have a cold, a flat tire, and I had mosquito bites!!! It was well worth it, the hospitality was the best, I felt very special indeed!!

I hope you liked the fried pickles! And those "mini" burgers - were those really "mini" ??? he he he.......you are now a genuine razorback since you have experienced the wooo pig sooie!
