I've been doing some graphics work for Andrea Farese, putting together a poster and flyer for the Orit workshop and show in Orlando. She kept sending me names and pics to add to the lineup, and my knees kept buckling!

I am SO excited to get to study with Orit AND Aziza for five whole days. This is a dream come true for me, and I hope to come out a better dancer on the other side.

any idea on who's on Friday versus Saturday? I know we get DVDs of both nights, but I was only planning on going to the Friday night show...from the looks of this line-up, I may have to make arrangements to ditch the kids one more night!

I can't wait! The lineup looks great. I had the same impression when I got the flyer last week. Holy cow, great talents from all over the world coming to Orlando! That's when it hit me.

Andrea puts on top notch shows for all her workshop events in Orlando, but this is a fabulous lineup. And the quality of the videos is just as fabulous.

Oh, Artemisia -- I copied/pasted that list directly from the poster, which was copied/pasted directly from what Andrea sent me. And we both proofed it. We were working on a harried deadline while I was in the middle of putting my student show together, or I'm certain I would have caught it, I've typed your name enough times.

I am SO sorry. You can slap me, if you like, when we meet in Orlando.

I can't wait, this is going to be a great event, plus the 18 hours with Orit, the price for this is fabulous, you really can't beat it, plus it includes the hotel room. Bahaia and I are roomies, and looking forward to meeting our fellow bhuz members!! I have to find my bag of bhuz pins that I bought so we will be able to find each other!!..l;,..l;,

It's not sold out, I spoke with Andrea yesterday, if you want a roomie, she may be able to link you up with someone. I would take advantage of this since who knows when we will be getting Orit back in the states!!

i know right? i didn't think anyone noticed it. i saw it on a pbs special about p funk and i repeated it for like 30 mins until i could get to a paper and pen. it's exactly what my life is about. ..l;,

Just wanted to let you all know, the workshops are not quite full and I do have a person or two currently that need roomates. The 4 day workshop with Orit for 16 hours (and two hour workshops with Aziza and Gina) is filled with really strong serious students I am delighted to say.
We have a second simultaneous workshop with Myra of New Mexico, Aziza and Orit Saturday and Sunday Only and there is limited availability in both programs.
We have helped many get great airfares and roomates. I will do whatever I can to make this a reality for any of you. All of you who have been to my programs in the past, I think it is safe to say these will be the most spectacular shows and workshops ever!
As most of you know, these are both GALA Shows. Neither is better than the other and they are both totally unique. We will be celebrating Aziza on Saturday and she will perform on Friday only.
That's all I can tell you other than if you want to be here, get in touch so I can help you in every way I can!

Yeah, I wondered too. Her name doesn't come up in the first few pages of a Google search.

Waaaaaaaaah (crying). Our surprise litter of puppies (read about it in Off Topic) has put a damper on all my plans. They will be a month old at the time of the Orit workshops which means I am stuck at home as hubby does not do puppy poop pickup and four weeks of age is the beginning of the hard work period of raising puppies. Moms stop cleaning up after them and puppies need so much attention from us peoples. So I am glad I hadn't sent in my money yet.

So, full reports from those attending will be required. And I am going to try to order the show dvds so that at least I can enjoy those. If I lived a little bit closer I would drive down for the shows, but I am four hours away and it just won't work out unless I can convince husband that he just has to screw up his courage and deal with puppies FOR ONE NIGHT!

Well, counting back on the doggie gestational chart the entire reason we have a surprise litter of puppies is because I went to a workshop while mama dog was in season and husband SWORE that he was extra careful making sure that our male dog was safely locked in his kennel while the succulent in heat girl was out of hers.

So maybe he should take care of puppies for ONE DAY so I can at least go to one of the shows! And meet everyone. Anyone have a floor I can sleep on for one night at the hotel?

Hubby won't pick up poo so you can attend a once-in-a-lifetime event???? Pshaw.

Unless he was against getting dogs in the first place and I'd already agreed to be SOLELY responsible for caring for them, I'd cheerily brush off to the workshop without saying a word about it. If he says anything, I'd say 'Oh, I'm sure you can work that out. You're a smart boy.' He can hire a neighborhood kid to be a puppy sitter or hold his nose, up to him.

(don't take my advice on marital issues, though. There's a reason I'm single! )

I think that's CARA Bowen. She's from Texas... one of Karen Barbee's flock. She recently moved to England. Very talented!
