Thread: VEGAS in JANUARY?

Hi! My fab friend Ezma may plan on returning to Vegas in Jauary...and we want to put the feeler's out to see who may want to come! Shopping...clubbing...costume swapping (I hope)...lots of fun.
The mention was in another post...so we are calling the usual suspects....THALIA...NAIYAHAYAL...AMARTIA....HALEE MA...DAWN.....MIRABAI..........and all of you interested in a fun weekend in Vegas....we are trying to set a date....

We will see what happens.........

OOOOOOOOOO ---- it's really happening? Will there be a two-suitcase maximum (or minimum)?? I can just see it ...... rhinestones flying EVERYWHERE ........ we will have to wear sunglasses INSIDE ..... If my work situation stabilizes, I want in!!!!! John and I may have some coupons for a room at one of Harrahs' casinos ..... I could stuff him in a hotel closet or tie him to a slot machine!

Hi TanyaSF! I'm bringing my hubbie, it's his first time to Las Vegas - Darwin and John can hang out when we're doing chick stuff. And it's a two-suitcase minimum, ante up for LV in Jan.!..l;,..l;,..l;,

I'm checking on airline tickets!

Wow, this sounds like just what the doctor ordered, or at least my acupuncturist :) She tells me I need to "refill my well" I stayed at a friends house last weekend and we spent the whole time laughing our butts off. It was a good thing. Throw out some dates and I will work on a place to stay and tickets. And I am NOT bringing MY husband. I need girlfriend time, LOL . Come on Amartia, we have not had a girlfriend sleepover weekend since Rakkasah.

I love this idea. Darwin and I want one bedroom in the suite. We all have to decide if we're coming during Astryd's workshop and show on the weekend of Jan. 10-11, and combine workshops and the show with clubbing, costume swapping and shopping, or come to Vegas later in January with a sole focus on clubbing, costume swap and shopping. I'm happy to do either way. Once everyone here decides on a weekend, perhaps Tanya will help us find a suite to stay in together.

As Yamin mentioned, Astrid will be here in Vegas on the 10th and 11th.

Zoe Jakes will be here the 23rd-25th.

There will also be a Rhythm Alchemy workshop on Jan 30-31st.

Lots happening in Vegas in January.

All that sun and all that fun was just what I needed before settling into the next nine months of wet, mossy fall/winter/spring up here in Seattle!!! ..cr.:

I just have to convince AndyPandy .w.: that we need to make this move!!

In the meantime, I will probably have to save up my next visit for the next intensive ... can't wait to shimmy it up in Vegas again!!

Ok...I JUST found out that my other half will have vacation from Cirque in January...we will try to vacation and I don't want to miss what we are all trying to plan! I will have dates later...I will be here if this is definite...but I am planning to go to Cabo...and also maybe Turkey!

well that sounds super fun, cabos san lucas in the caribbean? and Turkey too? I am open to coming down anytime when it's really cold in Fargo (Jan. and Feb.). Let's wait for your vacation dates and plan around that, cool with me!

The only thing worse than January in Cleveland is February in Cleveland so a sunny Vegas trip in either month would be a relief.

OH, THAT SOUNDS PERFECT!!!! An in-suite fashion show! We could do trades or mini-auctions for the ones there are cat fights over..l;,

Tanya..If you go to Turkey you will love it!! Been there and it was fab. Bundel up ..it will be cold in Jan. They have fabulous leather goods to keep you warm. Shop! Shop! Shop! My favorite subject..g.:

Lots going on in Vegas thru out the winter so I saved my Raks Shaabi workshop to start the spring in April, 2009 when the flowers bloom, then it's off to Cairo again.
