EFFORT SHAPE IN EGYPTIAN BELLY DANCE Workshops #1 & #2 - Part of Sahra's Secrets to the Cairo style series. Effort Shape 1, a truly experiential class is for all levels even brand new beginners and introduces you to the concepts of new ways to add layering of emotions and rich texture to your dance . Effort Shape 2 is for those who are familiar with these concepts and want to delve deeper into integrating these with pervious Middle Eastern dance training .You will come out of these two workshops the most the most useful dynamic performing skills to add to your dance routines.


Cost $60 each by Oct 15th/$65 after /$70 at door if available

8 - 9:50 pm Workshop #2

Saturday Nov 15th - Monday Nov 17th
"JOURNEY THROUGH EGYPT" Basic 1 Intensive & Certification - 20 plus hours
Class size: 15 -25 students
Cost: $425 paid in full by Sept 21st/ $450 by Oct 21st/ $475 by Nov 12th
Cost includes: 20 hours training, certification and materials including course video dvd and music cd

What is a "Journey through Egypt"?
This is an intensive for those who would like to study closely with Sahra so they can get a full understanding of the dance in the various zones of Egypt. Have a complete and correct overview of folkloric including a special day on the Zar and the roots of Cairo Oriental style. You will dance, watch Sahra's collection of historical footage, hear lectures and have lots of personal attention for questions. Based on years of research in Egypt and a strong academic base, Sahra has presented portions of this for graduate level anthropology students, belly dancers,and teachers worldwide. Now in 2008 JtE is presented in it's full intensity for the first time.
Coming in Feb 7 - 9th 2009 to Philadelphia "Journey through Egypt Basic 2" (pre-requisite JtEBasic 1)
Coming in June 2009 in Egypt "Journey through Egypt On Site" with Sahra (pre-requisite JtEBasic 1 and 2

I do highly recommend taking from Sahra, she has so much knowledge and is such a lovely person! You will learn about the culture as well as the moves and this will make you a better dancer.
