Thanks for posting this, I'm sorry I didn't know about this in time to make arrangements to drive down. Aleia was not only a awesome dancer but a great person. I still search the audience at Bedioun's Bazaar for her each year when I dance. I know she won't be there but I still expect to see her, she was so supportive.

I know that Aleia has a strong, supportive spirit, so I have no doubt that even though you can't see her physical presence, she's at Bedouin cheering you on.

I'm very honored to be one of the featured dancers at the Aleia Memorial Night, so please come up and say "Hi" if you make it! Aleia/Cyndee was my dear friend for almost 20 years, and although she is no longer on Earth, I still feel her influence in my life. I'll be performing in a teal satin skirt that she made (and later gave to me just because I admired it hanging on her sales rack at SAMEDA Faire one year), and a bra and belt that incorporate her design ideas.

Aleia was truly a remarkable woman!
