I will be dancing in this event as part of my New Year's Resolution to dance to live band more often. ..g.:

How was it for you? Have you performed with Okbari before?

It went great! Though I did start a little to early. When I got introduced, everyone was clapping and hooting so I couldn't hear the band that well. I left my zills on the entire time (even when I unwrapped my veil and did the veil portion of my dance).

This was the first time I performed with Okbari before. They were awesome. They came to the back room with us before the start of the show, so that they can play the first minute of each song that they were doing for us so that we can get a sense of their style of playing. I thought that was so cool! They were really nice and talked to each dancer to make sure that we were are comfortable. If you ever get a chance to perform with them, I highly recommend it! I'm so glad that I participated in this event as it went so well.

And one of Boston's legendary dancers told me that I have grown so much since my first live performance and that she is enjoying watching me grow!!! I was really excited about that!

I agree Okbari is fantastic; we are in the same area and I have had the opportunity to perform with them; adore them!

Oh, Lucky you to being in the same area as them. I would totally perform with them again, if they come to our area again. A lot of the audience bought their cds afterwards as well. Everyone I talked to that night, all agreed as to what a great band they were.
