Thread: Hope to see people at the Pirate Parlay in Maryland

I hope to see people there! I will be dancing, as well as Ruta I believe. Lots of fun and a great cause!

It really is shaping up to be a great show. In addition to the loverly ladies here who will all be dancing, Nina and Bellydance Delight are also in for the show. As well as some ballroom being shown off by other dancers, and live musicians as well.

Awamil and Swingtime ballroom are proud to present a "Pirate Parlay". This will be an evening featuring a live show with belllydancers, ballroom dancers, and live pirate musicians. We will also be having dinner, a drum circle, and an open dance floor post show with mini lessons in ballroom and bellydance. There will be a silent auction as well.

This event is a fundraiser for Jenny's Light. Home — Jenny's Light. This is an organization to aid in the education and support of women suffering from and with Post Partum Illnesses. Check out the site, they give so much more info than I could possibly give here.

Tickets are $28 single, $50 per couple. Pirate costuming is reccomended wearing. :) To purchase tickets please contact Swingtime Ballroom at 410-877-2633. Hopefully we will have something up on the website soon. The website is Swingtime Ballroom LLC. :)

This is a great cause, and a fairly new one as well. Please check out the website.

Ha Ha, you beat me to it. :) Yes, there is an ad book. I would love to post the order form, anyway you can do it for me? Apparently I'm an IT moron nad can't figure out how to post it. :)

I am sooooooooo looking forward to this event. I'm saving my pennies (and anything else I can get my hands on) to bid on the Hot Rock Massage that has been donated to the silent auction!

Not just hot rock massage, swedish and a reiki session as well. :) I'm thinking we keep all three as a package. :)

We're going to have some great stuff in the auction. You are all going to want to make sure to come out and see for yourselves. :)

Did you bid on them in the auction? After dancing they were added to the auction. :)

nope, don't know who won, but i think someone went home with them.....there were at least 4 bids midway.........they were cool and the 'goodbye' dance was a neat touch

I REALLY hope you can manage it. I may have just lost one of the other bands. I will still have members of the band (Bodhran player, fiddler, some of the vocalists) but not the entire group.

We did not lose the other pirate band, it's just downgraded. Apparently they are no longer trying to make a business out of it, and keeping it more as a hobby. :)

But if we could get the other band it would be totally AWESOME!!!!!

I just wanted to add a note that tickets will not be available at the door. They will need to be purchased prior to the 28th.

Got it. Let us know when the website has stuff for ticket purchasing. Or can we get them through you? My band of pirates might be kidnapping some family members and taking them along for the ride ..g.:

The studio has had a problem reaching their webmaster. If you call the studio you can purchase your tickets over the phone. :) We aren't going to mail them to you, we'll leave them at the door will call style. :)
We are hoping that they can reach their webmaster and get it put up on the site by this weekend.
