are there any haflas competitions or anything on the east coast??? ( mass, nh, vt...
I can't seem to find ANYTHING on the east coast that is actually in new england. the closest of anything i can find is new jersey...halfa, dance competition...anything? help!

ZaBeth has the annual Viva La Diva pageant. It's in August in Woburn.

You may also want to check out the Middle Eastern Dance in New England web site http://www.helade.com/. There are announcements for different events in the New England area.

Our Amity's always coming up with more good stuff for the NH/VT crowd. See her workshops & events:

Katia is sponsoring Yoursry in April! Though its not a competition!
She also puts on workshops and has a fabulous retreat in the summer!

You want to get on the bellydancema yahoo group. Then you'll find out about EVERYTHING - more than you want to know sometimes (there can be a lot of mail.)
