Thread: February Hafla at Habeeba's Columbus

Hey all! Habeeba's Columbus is now having monthly workshops and haflas! Open to the public.

February's event will be held on Saturday the 21st.

February's workshop is a self defense seminar, not dance related but definately useful to all women! Registration begins at 1pm, cost is $35. Seminar will run from 1:30-4:30pm.

Hafla will be held in the evening. Doors open at 7, dancing begins at 7:30. Cost is $6. Performers of all genres and levels welcome, please email habeebascolumbus@yahoo.com to be placed on the line-up.

It would be nice to have a list of the monthly workshops. I didn't see anything about the Feb. one on the website.

It should be changed soon with the Feb. details. I know the January flyer is up still. Habeeba is working on the following months' instructors/topics but they will be posted on the website asap.

That's great. I have to ask for time off and a month or so in advance doesn't give me enough time.

Yeah, updating this more frequently would make it easier for out-of-towners to attend. It's a bit of a journey to Columbus, but if there are interesting workshops, it may be good project to organize a trip.

Will definately mention getting future event dates/descriptions on website soon to Habeeba & admin. I'll post here on Bhuz as soon as I have info as well.

I believe she's shooting for haflas/workshops to be every 3rd Saturday of each month. I know she has some exciting instructors in the works, but I need to make sure things are confirmed before posting.

I'd be interested in going depending on the topic. Three months notice creates the least amount of hassle. The next six months or more--even better. With the economy, people need more budget planning time.
