Faire season is right around the corner!!!

What did we decide?
What days are the meet-up?

Faire runs from July 7- September 3, 2007

I suggested July 14th for the Sat. gathering. I didn't get any feedback though. I could also do July 21st.

Josh and I would like to have a little after-Faire get together at our place like we did last year. It would need to be on a Sat. night though.

Comments? Opinions? Anyone?

I work on Saturdays, especially since I took a second job. I am planning on taking July 7th off for opening weekend, so I might have to do Sundays for most of the season.

July 14th looks good so far. July 21st has a big bellydance event in our community, as well as the 28th. Weekends are filling up fast round these parts!

Yes, I just found out about the July 21st event. I vote for July 14th for the Saturday meet up.



Maybe Mahira or others that cannot attend on Saturdays should suggest the Sunday date?

I'm keeping open as many of my weekends as I possibly can this summer! I'm having massive Faire withdrawl. ..cr.:

I'd love to come this year since I missed last year. I can only catch up with you guys in Aug. though if anyone will be out there then (haha.....that's funny...IF...). I just have so much coming up. With just getting back into the dance scene and performing, I'm getting calls like crazy to perform for weddings, I'm standing up in a wedding AND I have so much coming up this summer in the theatre district! This is going to be one CRAZY summer! I've been gone too long!!

Anyone planning to be there Labor Day weekend? I may redeem my AAdvantage miles and fly home for faire...

Not sure if people heard that there will indeed be PAID PERFORMING bellydancers at Bristol this year? Yes, the El Gennayya troupe stuck to their guns, requested adequate payment, and got hired for several weekends at the faire!

Bravo!! It's about time!

So I'm booked in for Labor Day weekend...can we plan a small meet up on Saturday? :) I'd love to see all my old dance friends from home, and meet some new ones!!! :)

I got to go to this in 2004. :-) I'm in the USA now so I wont be out this year but way cool on the paying venue. Ren Faire EC's can be such a pain. :-P

Since I will be working a good majority of the summer on Saturdays I would like to suggest Sunday July 22. I plan on being there anyway. I am going to opening day (Sat. July 7) though, anyone else going opening day?

am I going to be the only bellydancer at drum jam Saturday of Labor day weekend? Dang it! ;)

I hope SOME of you all can make it that day...I'll have a fun new look to show off! ;)

how much is a season pass and how many times do you have to go to make it worth getting one?

A season pass is $85. Adult tickets are around $19. If you go at least 5 times, you will save money.

Do you have to work every Saturday?

It was pretty hot this past weekend but we still had lots of fun at the Faire. I'm really looking forward to next weekend's meetup. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and be a tad less hot.

It's supposed to be a beautiful 70 something. I'm looking forward to hanging out!

I just found out that I'm not working that Saturday! Bad for making money, good for going to fair! So I will be there but I probably won't get there till after 12:30pm or so. Hubby has to work half day. See ya'll there!

Thanks. We decided to get the passes and friends of fair this year. Hopefully we'll go enough so it pays off. We will have to do more Sundays this year. I am working every other Saturday right now, it's slow. But hubby works every Saturday till lunch time. But we'll still go as much as possible. Love fair!

I went today. I saw only one dancer there. :( Now I have a migraine. and I am off to lie down.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who showed up for Kara's Birthday/Bellydancer Meetup.

THANK YOU so much to everyone who came out to the July 14th Belly Dancer Meetup at the Bristol, WI Renaissance Faire! I had such a blast visiting, drinking and dancing with so many talented dancers.
