Thread: Des Moines, Iowa anyone??

I'm going to be in Des Moines the end of April, I've already been in contact with Shira, anyone else here on bhuz?

Noob here, about 5 hrs from Des Moines, in Nebraska.

Nine of my local dance friends are going, but I'm staying behind... sniff. Saving my pennies to come to Vegas in September for the Intensive!

What event is going on the 2nd weekend of April? I think it's a tribal workshop?

I'm going to do private coaching while I'm there for some dancers on tribe.net, so anyone who wants to be added to my schedule, just let me know!! I'll be there April 17-28th

Hmmm, I don't know about the weekend of April 11, but this coming weekend on April 4 is the huge annual workshop & show sponsored by Rainbows of the Desert. This year the guest artist is Jasmin Jahal. Arien told me today that something like 122 people are registered. Whew! It's the biggest Des Moines based event of the year.

I think we could have stirred up more interest in your visit if you'd had a gap of a few months instead of a few weeks between this event and your visit!

That's right!! Arien told me about Jasmin, it should be a great workshop!! I'm not worried, this is an unofficial trip, not related to belly dance, and I've already got a list of dancers who are studying privates with me while I'm there, so it's all good!! Thanks Shira!!
