Thread: Locals to Rakkasah West....

How should I pack, what is the weather typically in that area? I remember going to San Francisco years ago, and even in June, it could be very chilly.

Layers! That is the key to survival among the elements in this town. The only assumption you can make is that it will probably change within a few hours!

Vallejo will be warmer than San Francisco during the day, but it will likely get chilly at night. I'd guess anywhere from the 50s to 70s daytime, but easily into the low 40s at night.

For whatever it's worth, I am in SF proper (a good 30 miles southwest and closer to the ocean, which here means colder) and have been in my warmest winter coat for weeks. And there was frost on my porch yesterday morning, but then it was pretty warm by 3.

Again: Layers!

Wow, thanks. I would have never brought my winter coat. Thanks for saving me from freezing my ass off, LOL. Not sure of plans for the evening, but it sounds like I will be happier if I had my coat.

The weather this weekend is supposed to be pretty awesome, but yes it gets a bit chilly in the evening and at night. I think we're going to be supplying some great sunshine for everyone during the day!!

I refuse to bring my winter coat! I am bringing a fleece sweatshirt and a spring jacket. I'm done with winter, damn it!!!

....Running to unpack my sandals..I'm so sick of winter!!!!

Last year it was so cold that I had to buy a Rakkasah sweatshirt!

I'm all set, having clothing for Fargo, ND and Tucson, AZ. Rak should be in the middle of that!!

I have packed sweaters.... oh well.. we haven't put them away yet here in Maryland so I will be wearing the same old stuff :)

Should be sunny, in the 60's during the day and in the high 30's at night. So, yeah, a thick sweatshirt, socks, and a scarf will be handy!

Weather forecast says it might rain Sat night thru Sun midday. There are 2 halls, about 3 or so minutes' walk in the outdoors.
