Hi, any dancers in the Destin area? I'm going to be there for 4 days, and was hoping to watch some dancing.

Does anyone remember the "Destin Debacle"?

This became infamous on the MED-dance list. If memory serves me, it happened mid to late 1990's and involved the mayor of Destin doing/saying something to the detriment of oriental dance, after a sleazy dance troupe performed at a public event. Visible pubic hair was involved. Ultimately it lead to legitimate dancers not getting to perform somewhere.

Someone correct me if I'm remembering wrongly.

I don't have GA on my schedule as of now, but that will hopefully change! I'll let you know when I come your way!!

I'll pass on the pubic hair troupe thank you!! Hopefully the legit dancers have been able to rebuild the reputation of Oriental dance since then!!!
