Thread: Oahu, Hawaii! ALOHA!

Hey there...I am going on a last minute vacation with some friends next week...I am heading to Oahu after needing to cancel my trip to Flu infested Mexico!
I am there May 4 and leave May 9....
Any happening belly dance place? Would love to see some dancing after laying at the beach all day..

I used to live on the islands and Jes is living on Oahu now (from aka'i silks). I used to write articles for Hawai'i Bellydancer Magazine and it seems that Late Night at the Pyramids is a big deal for bellydance (the Pyramids is a ME restaurant). Also I believe that Shadiya performs there regularly. Willow (who I've seen from time to time on bhuz) is also out there. There also used to be a festival called Habibi Hawai'i. I've been looking at their websites and it seems like some of this stuff is now defunct, but you could check it out when you arrive.

Will you be going to any of the other islands? I can give you tips on where to go on the Big Island for an amazing time!
