I can't wait for this event, and would love to put some faces to Bhuz names while I am there ..g.:

I am still not sure if I can make it. But this event is in my mind daily now - and I hope all of you enjoy it in full!! I sooo wish I could come, because last year it was so great and I would know my way to Nottingham --- the venue is different this time, isn't it? But looking from here it is in Notthingham anyway :)

Aw! Maybe they'll be a show next time...Hope Italy is nice you lucky lady. Have been home 1 day, and am already missing lattes, cakes for breakfast, and every meal involving ham.

Oh, I can imagine, cakes for breakfast is my favourite thing about here too!! Honestly, Randa is about the only way to get me on a plane away from here for a couple of days ;)

btw, I'm staying in the Premier Inn and will be at a loose end tomorrow evening as my roomie's train doesn't get in until 11pm!

thanks sarah.... i can't go. there's no early morning train on sunday. since i have only 2 days in london, my boyfriend (he lives in london) would be upset if i disappear for too long..cr.:

just sent boyfriend a message asking if i buy him a motorbike would he take me to nottingham on sunday....

boyfriend said yes!!! he mentioned before that he wanted to get a second hand bike and that costs just over 100 pounds. renting a car is near that amount so it's great! and i can always not give him the money!
just hope that he manages to buy a bike in time. and that he doesn't change his mind. in the past he has accused me of loving dance more than him...

i went to the midland festival website but i can't find any other info except randa's class. are there classes by other teachers? shows? zouk?

so so so want to go! if you see a chinese girl, that could be me. see you all hopefully xx

The rest of the festival had to be cancelled becuase of venue issues, so it's just the Randa classes (and potentially dinner with Randa sat night but i don't know how far in advance that has to be booked)

still don't know if can go... depends on if boyfriend can find a cheap bike. i can't drive so even if i rent a car i have to ask him to be my driver. i just hope that if we manage to go to nottingham, there will be room available for the workshops on sunday.

how was workshop today?

Lovely, sounds like Randa has given you a good workout there - please report more when you can! you know I am waiting for the news. what did she wear, what did you learn ---

I've just written about it at length in my LJ so I will summarise in one word here: AWESOME. Randa was amazing, her dedication and attention to detail is inspiring, and her energy is incredible. We had one workshop on technique, one on choreography and one which had a bit of both. I'll leave the clothes question to Zaf since she has some great photos of Randa's workout gear.

Diva-licious!!!

Yeah, she looked beautiful... Every jaw in the room just dropped when she took off the top she was wearing over that for the warm up.

My favourate part of the whole weekend, was when she sang a bit of the song we were dancing to, while we repeated the move she's just taught us. She's got such a nice singing voice, and I was torn between the torture of wanting to stop the endless repeating of the move, and wanting it to go on forever to hear her keep singing. The follow the bum part for the last 10 mins of day 1 class was amazing. New move after new move, with variety added in like A with B, A with C, C leading to D, E and F. Utterly amazing and mentally and physically exhausting.
