IT'S ALMOST HERE! Dance Camp 2007 with AZIZA, Bahaia, and Tamra Henna(TX)!
Hi all,
If you haven't yet made your plans, NOW is the time!
This year, Aziza is rockin' HOT Seminars' October Dance Camp, and we now have a run-down of the topics Aziza will be teaching.
Friday: Technique/Combinations
Saturday: Choreography - Lamma Bada Yata Thanna (10/8!!!)
Sunday: Hands, Arms, and Poses
In addition, there will be a class taught by Bahaia, and a class taught by me. (details coming soon!)
This is a spectacular way to enjoy an intensive dance experience in a peaceful setting - and we have LOADS of fun, too!
There are still spaces available, and you CAN pay in installments, but DON'T WAIT, register TODAY!

I had to cancel three trips this year
1) Rakkasah - on advice from FBI because of crazy psycho stalker - still will update bhuz community as soon as everything is resolved
2) Mona's friday night show which my company got asked to be in, and 3 out of 5 members of my company were out of town
3) suzanna's dance camp because it was cancelled.
SO,,,
I'm going to Texas come hell or high water!!!!!!
edited to add; I need a vacation just for me!

Come on, stand up and be counted! Have you decided on your bunk decorations? Do you have a driving buddy? Are you planning any special pranks on your fellow campers, or do you have a new adult beverage recipe you plan on sharing? Do you have costumes, CDs, or DVDs you'd like to swap on our FREE swap table? Don't you wanna make s'mores by the campfire?
Enquiring minds want to know!
BTW, if you haven't registered but think this all sounds like too much fun, it's not too late! Go here for more information:

I'll have to pull out my flight stuff, but I believe I hit the airport at about the same time you do. I already have a rental car arranged and all that good stuff and I'd be happy to have company. I'll check my flight times and all tonight when I get home and let you know. Just be prepared, I come from a directionally challenged family so typically there is at least one U-turn involved in me finding my way anywhere....LOL!

Well according to MSN's weather website it should be in the low 80s to low 60s for the weekend. Not that I've been keeping an eye on the weather for the weekend or anything like that

10-08-2007 09:16 AM #19I haven't even packed yet, I just realized, yikes!
I need to go through my bd closet and bring some goodies to the swap meet.
I wonder if I should bring my beautiful turkish red velvet dress to sell, or is it just going to be things like, tops, skirts, cd's and such?

10-08-2007 10:33 AM #21According to the weather forecast, it looks to be sunny this weekend, with highs in the 80's and lows in the upper 50's. I'll double check when I talk to Rob at the camp today.
10-08-2007 03:08 PM #22Well, I just talked to Rob, and the weather will be beautiful! Warm in the afternoons (80's), crisp in the mornings (60's). Bring your bathing suits, your sunscreen, and your flannel pj's!
They've had a lot of rain this fall, so it's green and the river is nice and full.

10-15-2007 11:09 AM #24Back from Camparet!
Hi All,
I'm back from Camparet and had a fabulous time. I have got lots of great pics, some of horses, a great tarantula, bhuzzers, dancing, and general mayhem.
Please go to http://tribes.tribe.net/mariabellydance/photos for lots more photos.
But for now, I shall post one of Viv (bhuzzer) and I -
BTW - Viv, I've got the 'turnaround' sign posted on my tribe too.
I will post more later on the weekend. Had a blast and am planning on going and bringing more students with me for next year.
10-15-2007 11:13 AM #25Maria, you were so much fun to have around, please come back! Pasha too, what a sweetheart! It's so funny how several of us had developed a Brooklyn accent by the end of camp. I couldn't help myself - your accent is AWESOME!
Sorry about the clown incident
10-15-2007 11:18 AM #26The clown incident................
How hilarious.
I will post more on it later.
I've been talking about it since I got home. I had my family hysterical cracking up! SO SO FUNNY!
I loved it.
Next year - PAYBACK!!!

10-15-2007 11:19 AM #27I have to come back next year just to get you guys back!
I have a whole year to think up something e-v-i-l!!!!!!!!!
LOL!
I had such a great time, you guys were all FANTASTIC.
and all the women at camp! Just incredible people. It made me want to think about moving to Texas....
Glad you like my accent.
Bahaia thought I was pulling one over on her, till she realized,
"That's really the way I talk"
10-15-2007 11:21 AM #28Just a teaser, they had an evil clown, Kevin the clown, which I got to rip off his head later and toss it in the campfire, and the head
WOULD NOT BURN!
for 15 minutes.
I was not surprised about it however, and fully expected it to walk out of the campfire -
