Re: Pennsic anyone??
<raises hand> I live in E22, at the corner of Lost Hope and Good Intentions. Or, up the hill towards the highway, past Delradia and Wulf's Den.
I just started sewing tonight, I am so not ready! Thank god I live less than an hour from Cooper's Lake, which gives me a lot of wiggle room for last-minute planning.
What about a Bhuz meetup? I am still completely undecided when I drive up, but chances are that I will be there war week.
I am planning to dance in the folkloric show (yeay!) and the expo.

I'll be there
first time too (been trying to get there for 2 years now)
can only get there the 31st to the 2nd, but anything is better than nothing ,r:;
I'll be most likely following Nina around, and playing flute at every opportunity.
Loves my vintage bellydance sheet music

Well I consider her from Maryland, but that area =)
I'll probably be tagging along with Dragon Song too...I'm such a wandering traveler sometimes.

Rwsullivan - if you're adjacent to Nina, I will find you.
I was up at Cooper's Lake yesterday for day 1, spent many hours clearing out an overgrown area in the woods, and got caught right in the middle of the big afternoon rain.

Re: Pennsic anyone??
Went to War for Landgrab, came back the same day. Headed back up Wednesday morning!
My household will be hosting a hafla in our camp middle Saturday (its Akeru Thunder, e-17, 9:30pm). We are next to Watan, right up the road from Chalkman. Hope to see lots of you there!
(And the Haberci flyers are already at YIV, so make sure you swing by and get one when you arrive!)

We left Pennsic yesterday... had to come back in time to buy a house tomorrow! :D
It was a wet and muddy Pennsic at times...but still tons of fun!

Re: Pennsic anyone??
A big shoutout for all Pennsic Bhuzzers! I am back home, tired, happy, and in pain from dancing way too much. Moments that stand out in my memory are the crazy night at Loady Toady, singing Mastika when the Lost Boys party all of a sudden ended, and the long smoking hot 9/8 at the O'choda hafla.
Here are the Bhuzzers I recall that I met: I enjoyed the classes by Mihri/Christina, Samira and Asim, I admired the performances by Basina, I had a grand time around the fires with Ariel and Tanya, but unfortunately didn't get to see much of Resullivan or Bernie.
Anybody have pictures to share? Please post links!!!Last edited by steffib; 08-08-2009 at 02:45 PM.

Re: Pennsic anyone??
I'm home and exhausted but happy to have met all.
Basina's hospitality made me feel like the luckiest girl in the camp.
Samira is a wonderful partner in crime and the best pennsic baker I know.
Steffi was a blast to hang out with and whenever I felt like the last dancer going I would look to my left and see her still having a blast.
Ariel was my inspiration for going in the first place.
Ressullivan played a lovely flute at O'Choda
Mihri was a friendly familiar face when I needed it.
Bernie was the cutest girl in the market place the day I ran into her.
Asim had the tolerance for my twisted sense of humor so someone give that man a medal.
Thank everyone for making my first Pennsic/event ever something to remember fondly!

Re: Pennsic anyone??
Pennsic was quite fun, and it was nice to see everyone, even if we didn't get a chance to hang out...

There is always next year...
We NEED a folktours weekend...

Re: Pennsic anyone??
Left War a day earlier than planned - didnt make it to Mooselodge because the cold the night before had taken its toll on my joints. :-(
However, it was still an AWESOME pennsic! Aside from the first few days of rain, the weather was just amazing. I was lucky enough to be camped next to Bernie, so got to see her often. Samira I saw once in the market, and am bummed I didnt get to see more (I opted out of taking dance classes to keep my on my feet for the furation). I saw Ariel, Asim, and Nina a few times and finally met Steffi (we need to chat later!) Totally had a blast hanging out and chatting with Tanya both in camp and out. Somehow I totally missed Mihri this year. :-<
Very much looking forward to next year (and lets cross fingers that my group votes to hold another hafla, cuz I had a blast with that!)
