Thread: In Chicago for the MAQAM challenge

I will be in Chicago for the MAQAM Challenge on the 22nd, I would like to meet up with other Bhuz members and go to a belly dance show/ restaurant. I don't have a lot on money to spend because my wedding is this Friday and the week after the MAQAM event I will be on my honeymoon. So I'm trying to save money. But if you know of any inexpensive restaurants please let me know.

You are getting married on Friday then coming out to the MBC on Saturday?? COngrats! I'll be there, vending, supporting and hooting and hollering for all the contestants!

I don't have a lot of money either and won't be making it to watch the contest (packing). But if you want to meet up for dinner, I'd be game.

Yes crazy I Know, but its just a small wedding with only 4 guest. And no reception after. We are having a party after we get back from the honeymoon. What are you vending? I'm looking for a new Cover up and practice wear.

Sure, what are the good restaurants in the area where I can see a dancer?

I'll be vending rhinestones, feathers and fair trade clothing. Come by the booth with all the feathers, I would love to say hello and congrats in person!

Not sure. The ones I know that have a regular dancer are pretty swank, I think.

Kan Zeman is a Lebanese restaurant in the city that is not very expensive. They have a bellydancer every Saturday night too. I won't be able to meet you but congratulations anyway!

I'll be there too! I'm in the Student Category. I'm from WI so I can't help with restaraunts but I hope we get to meet in person. I'm SO nervous!
