Just wondering if any of my Bhuz friends are going to the workshop in chicago in November....

...it's not for certain, but it's in the calendar, just need to pay for Early Bird and planefare, as I'm staying with my cousin if I come!

Well, it will be nice to meet you, Asim. We've got friends and family that live there as well. It's always nice when you can save money on things like hotel.

Really, really, really hoping I can make it to this one. It was such a shame that I had to cancel my arrangements for the May date!

Kimahri said there were some great deals on airfare on the Maqam Challenge post. I'm sure there are still great deals. Everyone come to Chi-town!

Try Dina2006; it has the whole shebang (no, I don't know why an '09 workshop has the title for '06...)

This is right before my birthday, so I'm going back and forth about getting it as a present for myself...but I don't know if I can spring for the cash right now. I reallyreallyreally wanted to go last time and I still want to go now!

I'm going, although I am a little bit annoyed that back in the Spring I paid the full price ($299), it was postponed, and now for the past couple of months the cost has been only $199 for new sign-ups :(

I am trying to go. The airfares aren't cooperating with me though! From DFW they are still about $300...yipes! :-(

Yep, I think that is about as low as it might go . . . just found one for $270 on American . . . the gears keep turning!

Was it you who posted about this before? I think Dee Dee was offering a refund of the difference, but maybe not right away? If it wasn't you who posted, we should find that thread and see what was said.

I keep telling myself I'm going, but then I open up my checkbook and moths fly out.

Right now it says the early bird is good 'til the 10th. That's my birthday. Is that a sign?

I think Norma had a previous thread about this and charges were going to be adjusted to reflect the $199 before the tenth.
