Thread: Cassandra in Philadelphia! Nov 21 - 22

I'm so excited that Habiba is bringing Cassandra for the first time to Philadelphia!

Here are details - The Habiba Studio- Special Events

I'll be there, and performing in the gala show.

Philly is less than two hours away from NYC and DC, any other bhuzzers going to be there? (DC peeps, I know you can't ALL be at the BD Nationals that weekend!)

Ahhhh, but the BD Nationals are less than two hours from Philly, no?

Hoping hard to find a pot of gold so I can do both. Cassandra is not to be missed, and a show with you in it is a bonus!

Would that be two visits to Philly in one month? I hear the mayor is going to rename November, "Suzanna visits month" in your honor!

Oh hahahahaha! Maybe he could sponsor me -- some kind of Official Visitor status? And a free room at the Rittenhouse with my name on the door?

That's okay, you were raqqing the judges and audience at Belly Dance Nationals!

It must have been an amazing workshop.

Cassandra was FANTASTIC! She did a choreography on Saturday that was fun and challenging, and her technique class on Sunday had us scribbling notes left and right with ideas.

Also, that woman can go, go, go - we were all ready to fall on the floor by the end of both days, and she was just sailing along, telling us "One more time!"

The show Saturday night was great and I loved her performance. I'm definitely a Cassandra fangirl now.

It was one of those great weekends where you come away feeling challenged, inspired, and have lots of good ideas and new techniques to work through - like Najia, one of the area teachers here said, "I feel like I've been fed!"

I'm bummed I missed the BDN, but I'm happy I missed it for such a good reason!

I just had my first experience of Cassandra at Oasis Dance Camp, and I totally agree with you--she is a fantastic teacher and dancer!
