I'll be there for Randa! Supposed to be in the show, too, if I ever get my paperwork together.

Lauren, please come out for Randa. We'll have fun. PhillyRaqsJenFatimaBassmah is already staying with me, and heck, maybe we'll lure Kiyaana out for a sleepover as well. I know where to borrow an air mattress if necessary. Shortest person gets the couch!

anyone know if the two workshops by Randa with be different? and what about the 2 shows? is she in both shows?

I emailed them before registering, she will be dancing in the Saturday show only, and both workshops will be different.

Gah, it's gonna be SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Except I think I am the shortest person :( That's ok, I will take the couch just for you guys and Randa.

Hi Zana,

Hope you're doing well. I'll be at Randa's workshop for sure (and Raqia's in April). I'm trying to do the whole weekend, and I'm considering staying at the hotel (though I live like 30 minutes away). It's easier though. I always enjoy your performances, so I look forward to seeing you in the Friday night show.

I'm trying to get some people to come with me to the January 24th hafla! :) I've never been to Alf Laylah Wa Laylah before.

Ooh, I need to add my annual recital here (and put it on my website)! April 18, 3 PM, Historic Baldwin Hall, Millersville, MD.

I may be in Boston and NY this summer teaching, I'll know dates soon. I know it's not Virginia and Maryland, but I'll be close by!!

I have a request. If any of your can tell me of any event classes or anything of interest for a bellydance newbie in the dc/ maryland area please let me know. I had planned my vaction around an event that was to take place Memorial Day weekend and only just found out that the event may not even take place.
Like I said it could be classes, venues, shopping anything Bellydance related. In fact you may see me posting and crying for help all over these boards in an attempt to salvage my vacation plans since I already requested the time off from work and may not be able to change.

Any info if appreciated.

Working on a Beyond Basics Makeup Workshop (including the "C" word: Contouring!) in Maryland early/mid-March.

Thank you, sweetheart. I was so thrilled that you and Ms. Joy came out. Wow! So many friendly faces in the audience, so much energy in the room, and so many good wishes from folks who couldn't be there. It was a tremendously fun night. I was humbled by my friends' terrific performances, which made me want to go home immediately and practice.

And now I need to go start a thread on the surreal experience of looking up two minutes into my set and seeing a table full of out-of-town Bhuzzers....

Tiraz will have a workshop in Reston on 3/14 and the convention in Purcellville on 4/17. More details forthcoming.
