Thread: Bhuz Meet Up 2011

Ladies, the deets for the weekend are on my website:

Diva Ventures || Chicago Suburban Belly Dance Classes | Workshops | Hula | Roselle under the workshops button. Registration is open, and the hotel is accepting registrations for the discounted rooms, make sure you mention you are with the Diva Ventures event on July 23 to 25. (There is another belly dance event at the same hotel in June - Tribal Revolution.)

We're getting very excited around here to have a lot of you coming from far away places! The Friday night Bhuzfest is shaping up to be a lot of fun - we already have 2 confirmed dancers doing something other than traditional bd. This what we want, so if you've got something out of the ordinary, let me know!

Looking forward to seeing many of you there!!

My beloved saw the printed form for Bahaia and another workshop (I'll make copies of both to share with my students) and said, "is this the one that was by Fry's!? Are we going there again!?" So the decision is made! I'll be at Bhuzstock!

Hey Donna, I'll be flying in early on Friday, so I'd love to perform Friday night too, if possible...I have something fun and fusion-y. :)

Yay! queencj's coming! It's been a while since I saw you around these parts! I brought those fliers over to IA when I vended at the Jim Boz show. I am glad they made it your way. And thank you for passing on the info!

So, since my darling hubby became a member of Bhuz last year, can he come too? If I come I will need a designated driver since I can'r sleep over since I'm going to Idaho early Sunday morning.

You can bring anyone you want to bring, my love! Just get there!! All designated drivers are welcome. We'll put the "No booze for yous" sign on his forehead.

Hmmm...I may have try to talk hubby into coming too...we'll se....w.:

Friday is just a show up with your CD and ask to dance kind of thing, or a sign up in advance thing? Is it 21+ or do I need to pick a clean song? I have a decidedly adult themed fusion number that only gets out at Drunk and Disorderly haflas.

..g.: It's a bring your CD and yell out, "I'm next!!" As for your adult themed fusion number -- bring it, girlfriend!! If it gets too hot and steamy -- we'll throw a pitcher of beer on you and toss you in the pool! And then we'll all jump in after you. :tongueine:

Pizza, appetizers, and soft drinks on me! Cash bar available! Even if you're not a Bhuzzer (and why aren't you??) everyone is welcome! Guys included. Maybe we can entice one of them to dance for us??

And Bahaia will be joining us for the festivities. Gonna be a fun time!!

Sorry you can't make it Brea! We decided to do one this year and teamed it up with the beautilicious Bahaia's weekend workshops in Chicago. There will probably be one next year.

In the meantime, I've got Jim Boz coming to Chicago in March, maybe we can try for another Bhuzstock then.

I can't wait! It's gonna be so much fun!!!!! Who else is coming?

I know that a few of us are teaching at the Great Lakes Bellydance Convention in November if anyone wants to try to make a bhuzstock out of that...
