Hello ! I am going to be in D.C. September 18th to September 20th. I'll be without a car and using public transport. I see that there are loads of places to go and eat good Middle Eastern food, hear live music and see dancing. Anyone want to meet up for an evening bd event watching the local talent :-) If theres a hafla, I might even pack a costume....

this will be happening on the beautiful eastern shore of MD!

This is a little late notice, but I'm going to Casablancas tonight in Alexandria near Washington DC, I'll be there around 8pm if anyone fancies dropping in to say hi. I am a small person with big hair and a British Accent :-) I am looking forward to the food and the dancer :-))))

What, Michelle Joyce will be there and she isn't dancing? The line up is fabulous of course, but some West coast cabaret would be a great addition! I'm coming up with my troupe, we are bringing swords, maybe we should do something about this ;)

LOL - I was offered a dance slot and had to decline. I'm traveling out with all of my video gear since I am doing a DVD with Lotus on the trip. Plus I am traveling with the baby and all the baby gear. I don't have a travel companion (other than the baby) so... sadly... I literally couldn't carry my performance supplies also. Plus, I am so psyched to just sit and watch a belly dance show in my NORMAL eyelashes!

But I will be performing at the Belly Dance Nationals in November ..g.:

Oh, well, a DVD with Lotus is all you need to say! Ready to pre-order that one! Troupe isn't going to make it to this one after all, something about family members expecting to occasionally be seen in person on the weekends, wish it were an easier drive for a day trip :(.

I have to stay home, too. Booooooo. I wish I could bi-locate to do everything I want to do, or at least have a chauffeur! ..l;,

Master Percussionist Souhail Kaspar is coming to Washington, DC January 22-23 2011 to teach his most wonderful and POPULAR Egyptian Rhythm & Movement Workshop. Middle Eastern dancer, teacher, and choreographer Ziva will be accompanying him for this workshop. This workshop will be different from Souhail's previous R&M workshops. It will include his popular Rhythm & Movement workshop, an intricate Egyptian Choreography by Ziva, a small section on Drum solos and there will be a separate drumming workshop for the drummers . Early Bird Special ends October 15, 2011!
