dancers in San Francisco: I have more questions about SF - help please!

I get to go to San Francisco next month for work - yippee!

Assuming that I have any free time, where would I go for a lovely ME dinner and show?

Hi! El Mansour near 33rd & Clement Street (near the VA Hospital) has the BEST Moroccan food ... (tell Hoda & Jack "Naiya" said "Hi") .... the old "Grape Leaf" (now El-Masri) on 42nd & Balboa has Egyptian food (Sausan is the owner) -- both have house dancers. If you like Thai food, by any chance, Lanna's in the Sunset is really good ..... (but no belly dancing, lol!) Are you coming in time for Rakkasah?

    Thank you ladies!

I'll just miss Rakkasah as I'll be there in April. One day I do want to go to Rak West though... to see how the other side lives ..l;,

If you take a short hop across the bay to Oakland you can check out the dancers at Tanjia TANJIA Moroccan Cuisine. And depending on when you come in April, I might be able to join you! Have fun.

You gotta see if Georges Lammam is at Pena Pachamama the Friday you're in town. The best music. Ask Amina (she's in the band, too) of the Aswan Dancers (welcome to aswandancers.org) what the schedule is. They might have dance slots.

How far is Oakland from SF and is there an easy way to get there?

I will! It's going to be in a few weeks. I would love to meet some Bhuzzers!

Can you ladies recommend a nice but reasonably-priced place to stay? I'm going to stay a few extra days for playtime!

It's 15 minutes in good traffic and up to an hour in bad. It depends on the time of day and what's going on in either town. You could hop on the BART (rail) and do it in 10-15 minutes.
