Thread: Black Orchid Atlanta Tito DaVid etc

Anyone going? I am doing ala cart on workshops--basically only signing up for DaVid and Tito's workshops cause I want to have time to rest up after the parties at night!

Anyone need a roomie at the host hotel?

I wish so much I was going this year.

I attended last year's and I just wanted to pipe in and say that Black Orchid puts on an AMAZING event. Well organized, uber classy EVERYTHING (stage, table decorations, promotional materials, etc.; aesthetics of an event are really important to me), and phenomenal workshop lineup as well as show lineups (Friday and Saturday nights).

You're going to have a great time and I'm sure you'll be able to hook up with a roomie.

Is the Sunday dinner show formal dress? I have an understated Scala gown I would love to wear since I basically have no where to wear such things!

This sounds like an awesome event! Wish my dance calendar wasn't quite so full...

I wish I were going, too. I had to give up my spot due to a conflict. Last year's event was fantastic! Souzan, I think the a la cart package is a great way to go. I was relieved to not be performing last year because I was EXHAUSTED (in a good way)! But, like Azhia said, the details really made the whole weekend such a pleasure.

I had a great time, also, last year and thought the lineup of workshops and teachers was awesome! As Ahzia said, the aesthetics were also nice and the organizers were great. I'm afraid I can't go this year due to a conflict, and I'm so depressed about it!!!!

I am going! I signed up for the whole thing, mostly because once I chose the ala carte's I wanted it was more than the whole deal. I think we decided not to max out our room and have a little breathing space so we aren't taking any more roomies. Would love to to get together and hang out though. I belive you used the word party.w.: One of the shows is dressy and I think you are right it is Sundays.

Not going this year...but I already plan on going next year! :)
