We’ll depart the U.S. on May 31, 2011, with arrival in Cairo on June 1, and return home on June 12.

What Makes Us Different?

Together, Caroline and Shira can bring you a view of Egypt that tourists rarely get to see, with a special focus on dance.

In addition to shows by the big-name entertainers who perform in popular tourist spots, we can lead you to some sha’abi clubs off the beaten path, showing you the full spectrum of Egyptian dance. With us, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the hottest clubs where Egyptians go to party, and you’ll see dance shows with live music in places no other dance tour leader can show you.

Through our tours we will examine Egypt’s fascinating and turbulent history with an insight to Egyptian life as it is today.

We’re including unscheduled time in our itinerary to give you the freedom to spend time on activities that are most meaningful to you, personally. For example, we could help you make the arrangements to visit the Cairo zoo, go to one of Cairo’s top hairdressers or Hammans, go horseback riding or camel riding in the desert near the pyramids, attend a church service at a Coptic Christian church, visit your favorite costume designer to order a custom-made ensemble, schedule a private lesson with a local dancer, and more.

On board the cruise ship, Caroline and Shira will offer FREE optional dance classes and lectures as we sail down the Nile.

Tour Highlights

Lasting 11 nights and 12 days, our tour will include:

• Cairo: Pyramids, Sphinx, Cairo museum, shopping, whirling dervish show, and night life. Unscheduled time to book your own activities.
• Nile Cruise: Temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo, the lock at Esna.
• Luxor: Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Hatshepsut’s Temple, & Colossi of Memnon. PLUS free time to either shop, rest at the hotel, or set up your own extra excursions – perhaps a hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, a trip to Abydos, or a tour of the Valley of the Artisans?
• Aswan: Philae Temple and Aswan High Dam. PLUS free time to tour a Nubian village, visit local museums, or take our optional side trip to Abu Simbel.

Our tour includes 5-star accommodations at all hotels.

Basia, the passport issue is easy to fix - just contact your local post office or check the web site Applications and Forms

Yeah, the money aspect can be a bit more challenging, but think of the incentive! Egypt is a fabulous adventure! ..g.:

that is such an unfair question! of COURSE I *want* to go! it's finding funding & ditching the family obligations that seems to be the problem ,m::

You guys are killing me here!!!! I want to go too . . . hmmmmm, but airfares go up then so it is more expensive at that time! Why June????

Why June? So people whose lives are tied to a school year calendar would be able to go.

Just think of the shaabi clubs we could take you to.... the opportunity you'd have to see dancing the way Egyptians see it rather than the way tourists see it....

(I know, Caroline and I are evil temptresses....)

There is a payment plan available so please contact us for details if you are interested. This would be arranged through our tour company, but they are extremely accommodating.

Our trip will also provide dancers with the opportunity to perform at a private party at an Egyptian nightclub!!!.. a bit like a Haflah live in Egypt.. so pack or buy yourselves a new costume! There will be a live band too..

You two are definitely evil!!! I like to go in Feb-Mar because I like the milder weather . . . I understand about school being out but I don't have that limitation. Hmmmmm, I know I went to Brince last time I was there with an Egyptian friend and am always interested in something outside of the expensive touristy hotels . . . but love it when I can go on the Nile cruise. AND some things are just more fun with a group even if I did go hang out with OUti one night all by myself :) .

Payment plan???? ok, money saved for camera or keep saving for another trip to Egypt?? decisions, decisions . . . a new camera would be great for my next trip, hmmmmm???? I can't decide NOWWWWWWW . . . work, work, work!

The price is not too bad, but Egypt in June... Thats hot.. :D But I guess, since all the hotels are 5 stars, there has to be airconditioning? :p When do we have to sign up if we want to go?

The weather at the end of May early June is quite glorious! ..g.:

It is hot but not like July and August and similar to the weather that the end of September/early October.

April and May is 'Khamseen season' (dust and sandstorms) and we wanted to avoid this.

I usually take my other group and this time and weather can be hit or miss.

Well there is no time restriction of such, but we are taking bookings right now and it does give you longer to financially plan and budget. ..g.:

Yeah, and we had the khamseen when we went in April this year, too!

I've been through the Khamseen in March too . . . brown skies for days!!! But not last year.

I really appreciate that! I am really looking forward to this trip. I have been saving up to go back to Egypt since I got a “real job” after I graduated from college.

That means 9 months to pay up!!! I'll have to put my thinking cap on . . . 11 months countdown is a long time. A lot could happen between now and then . . . but, darn, I'd like to go hang out with Caroline and Shira in Egypt!

I wish 11 months was a long time! in my life it feels more like 11 sleeps ..l;,

We wanted to make sure people had time to work out finances, arrange family, time off work and have time to save etc.

I have to say I am truly excited about this trip...g.:

So tempting! Will talk to hubby about it!
