Thread: Anyone going to Tito in Montreal Oct. 27-28 ?

Where can I find info about this online? I did a google search but it didn't help. Is there a website I can visit?

Carol? Do they have the info in English? I can't attend the whole workshop, but was thinking I'd come up to watch the show, and maybe take part in the competition. I tried emailing them about it, but haven't heard back.

They don't answer, houm .... strange, very strange.

You can also click on the menu at left "Festival de danse orientale Aqdo 2007" In the middle of the page, you will have the info in English.

I can contact a friend in the organisation for you.

I'm also dancing in the gala show on Saturday night, but don't take part in the competition.
About the competition, I think it begins on Friday and the finals are on Sunday (I think that's what I read...)

Thanks Caro, but it's not enough info for the competition. It just says in English "rules available on our website"... and they are, but my French isn't good enough to make out the details.

Adisharkti, it's done. I passed the message to 2 of the directors of the Association.
One is having a big bazaar today so I doubt she can do something for you today.
The other might help you fast I think.
Keep in touch if it's not fast enough.

Thanks so much! I don't think I'll be doing the competition, but was kind of thinking it might be fun. Might just give it a whirl if I can incorporate material I already have (no time to do something new)!

Ah! I really want to do this!! But, I can't find the rules either. Where are they posted? I'll email my questions, but if I'm going to go, I have to get my plane ticket quickly. I love Tito's dancing!!! And I'm sure that the competition would be a great show, and put a little heat in my dancing!

Adishakti, it would be so much fun to meet there. I found a flight with ONE ticket left that will work for me, so I'm feeling crazed...

hee hee... Better act fast! It'd be uber-cool to meet!

All I can see is an in-line poster referring to the competition in English. It says there are rules on the website, but the rest of the website is French. If I get info from Caroline's efforts, I will send it to you right away!

I have a feeling I'd have to act too fast. I can't believe I'll have to miss this! Tito! gorgeous dancing! Montreal in the autumn!!!! What a package. I emailed and will post any info I get back. Probably will have to wait and watch for next year.

Yeah, it is pretty quick.... hopefully someone nearby will bring him back, because I love his dancing and missed his trip to Toronto last year, too. ,f:: Alas, I just can't afford it at the moment and had to choose between this event and the Dina workshop. Dina won. ..g.:

the «classe invitation» form. since you are not a member of AQDO..you will see
the different levels: Amateur( level 1 or 2) or professional (level 1 or 2),
sharki or folklore.depending on the style you decide to compete in..
professional, means that your performed and received a salary or got paid for
your performance.. we have to know the title of your music(max 5 min/amateur,
7min/Prof)
As for the competitions they begin on Friday at 12h30pm..
Since we do not have an english form, we understand that you will have to be
given more infos.. Do not worry we can fix things up in Montreal, if you
misunderstood some infos.. let me know if you need more infos..Do not miss
Tito's workshop and the Gala show/costume fashion show, he is a fabulous
performer and an excellent imstructor!!
