Thread: Bhuzstock & Bahaia in Chicago 7/23-7/25

Donna Diva is hosting Bahaia for a workshop weekend here in the burbs of Chicago. Friday night is a Bhuzstock meetup with an open anything goes hafla. A great way to kick off the Bahaia workshop weekend. Who's coming?

I'm hoping to pop in after my class. I'll try to bring along some of them too!

Andrea2 and I are coming up from St Louis!

I will be there with Bhuzzers Kelsnasim and luvnafctn, as well as a few other troupe members. I can't WAIT!

As a side note, luvnafctn (Stephanie/Tula) had emergency gall bladder surgery last week. She will not be able to perform in the show or physically participate in the workshops, but in true show biz style (and with help from our gracious hostess Donna Diva), she's still planning on attending the weekend events! So when you see her, feel free to give her a big get well hug.

I am coming and bringing big fistfuls of cash! Busty gals, hands off my cossies! My beloved works third shift and will have set sail for dreamland long before Bhuzzstock starts, so I'll be cruising for arm candy/drinking buddies. I'm from Iowa and not accustomed to your Big City ways...

Wow, I'll be there, too!!! Sooo exciting!!! And I believe the lovely Bahaia herself will also make an appearance! Look for us in the Atrium right off the lobby! The festivities start at 7 and we go until 9-ish.

Pizza and soft drinks will be provided, and there is bar service, too (your tab).

This event is open to EVERYONE!! Don't have to be a Bhuzzer to attend, so if you've got some friends who want to join the fun, bring them along. Maybe we can convert them to Bhuzzers.

Also, this is an OPEN hafla. While some dancers have expressed an interest in performing, and we're anxious to see what they'll do, if you have music with you and want to get up and dance for us, you are more than welcome to! There is no lineup, no program, all spur of the moment. I will have music, veils, fan veils, poi veils, zills, cane, tambourine, and the kitchen sink (no sword though, sorry), so if you want to dance and didn't bring "stuff" no worries. Just borrow. Costumes not necessary - dance in your pants (or at least your street clothes).

See you on Friday evening at the Holiday Inn in Elk Grove Village!

It was a BLAST! Totally fun! I loved the "lounge" selections...

Let me just say that they Friday night Bhuzz meet up hafla was out of control nuts! I think that much fun and laughing has got to be illegal. Thanks Diva for a really fun weekend! Thanks Bahaia..I can't stop talking in a computer animated voice..."I don't care."

That was a whole hunk of fun! I'm so glad I went, and I'm looking forward to the next Bhuzstock.

I had such a great time! It was so nice to meet so many new people. The only thing that would have made it better is if I would have been able to get up and dance.

Next Bhuzstock meetup in the Chicago area is March 4, 2011, same time, same place. Our awesome guest artist for that weekend will be none other than the "notorious" Jim Boz!!

I had the most wonderful weekend - possibly the most fun I have ever had in my entire life! And I came home with not one, but two new beautiful costumes from Andrea!
