Important Info...

1) Jill Parker's Friday class is nearly full.
2) The Sat/Sun class prices (except the drum classes) were supposed to have been increased to $30 on June 1st. Our system missed that change, so we will be raising it tonight.

Here's a few of the latest bits and pieces of news:

• There are only 4 spots left in Delilah's American Classic Cabaret class on Thursday September 8th.
• We've just announced the judges for the "So, You Think You Can Belly Dance? Contest"--Princess Farhana, Ariellah, Frank Farinaro, Delilah, Jill Parker, Oreet will help choose our winner.
• Due to some happy, but unforseen circumstances, we need to change our line up in the pro-shows slightly. Jill Parker will now be dancing in the Saturday night show, and Ariellah will be performing in the Friday night show. If this affects your show ticket purchase, please contact Bart@bellydanceintensive.com in order to swap your show tickets.
• We have less than 40 tickets remaining to this year's "It's a Wrap! Cocktail Party & Hafla" on Sunday September 11th. This is probably my personal favorite night of the whole event. It's a great way to relax, have a cocktail, watch some dancing or dance yourself, and listen to some live music. There's food, a cash bar, and a whole lot of shakin' going on (thanks to a special appearance by Elvis & the showgirls).
• Event Program ads are due August 1st.

Here are the FAQs regarding videography of all the festival performances...

Q2: What is the difference between "Single-Cam" and "Multi-Angle"?

A: With both options, we make real-time DVDs you can watch and take home shortly after you perform! The difference is -- when you watch a TV dance production or training DVD where there are beautiful dissolves between a wide shot and closer shot, that's "Multi-Angle". When you choose multi-angle, we real-time mix the cameras onto your DVD.

The "Option 3" is the multi-angle, but we'll give you a 2nd DVD with just the "wide shot" if you want it for reference.

Q3: Why would I want an "HD" (High Def) Video?

A: DVDs are not HD. They're "Standard Def" (SD). If all you want is a DVD, this option isn't for you. Some dancers, however, want to create demo reels with this footage, and upload their video to YouTube and other sharing sites. In those cases, an HD video will allow them to see more detail, and larger videos without them getting grainy.

Q4: What's the "Raw Footage HD" option for?

A: Unedited, no titles, just the "raw footage" in HD. If you want to edit it yourself, here ya go! :-)

Q5: Are we allowed to upload the videos of our own performance?

A: Yes... and Maybe. YES, Candlelight Productions (and the LVBDI) is perfectly cool with it, and we ask that you credit us in the description of your video. That said... MAYBE... if your performance uses copyrighted music, uploading it may violate copyright law... We're not lawyers, and "everyone does it"... but we need to add a disclaimer that we're not endorsing violation of copyright law... you're responsible for determining yourself if it's OK to upload your video with this regard.

Q6: Can we order our video after we perform, or must we order before?

A: IF you order *after* you perform, the only options available will be the single-camera options (those in the "Single Camera" column). IF you want multi-angle, or have special notes for us, make sure to see us (or get us your form) BEFORE you perform.Note: If you're ordering multiple copies, please do so *before* you pick it up to get the special pricing. The first "Extra copy" purchased afterwards is priced like the first/original DVD, because it's a boatload of work for us to get it off our Masters (and it may have to be mailed after-the-fact).
