Thread: Sahra Saeeda in PA (Nov 8-10)- anyone going?

Sorry I don't post much on these forums (I promise I'll try to be more of a regular contributor in the near future!) Was wondering if anyone might be going to this workshop:
NOV 8-11 Journey through Egypt /JtE1 Sahra Saeeda's original certificate program taught all over the world is coming to the Najia's studio. 20 + hours on the Folkloric styles of Egypt pre-requisite: none. No dance experience necessary, open to archeologist, ethnologists and dancers. Graduates of JtE2 will have the opportunity to do field research in Egypt with Sahra.

"Learn about the Dance of Egypt from a deeper perspective.
If you are not just a tourist, if you are hungry to understand,
if you don't want to simply learn another choreography,
this may be the start of your journey."

Who can come ?
Dancers, Teachers students, anthropoligists
20 plus hours

Includes JtE1 Dvd full of information and also a Cd as well as notebook binder and notes and a bounty of refreshments and veggie treats

yay! Yeah, I'm missing three days of classes for this, but they're all anthro and arab courses anyway so my professors forgave me ;)

Latifa- I still really want to do private lessons w/ you for folk but I just can't seem to find the money/time!!! I'm hoping in October or November my life will be back on track!

I took her beledi workshop in June, and JTE 1 & 2 in July. I'm a huge Sahra fan.

I just signed up this morning, and can hardly wait!!

I'm not doing JtE, but I'll be taking Cairo 4 from the 4th - 7th, maybe our paths will cross a bit!
