Thread: CANCELLED Little Egypt in Newark, NJ April 22 - 24, anyone going to be there?

I'm excited to go to Little Egypt's Newark event - Aida Nour, Osama Emam, and Khaled Mahmoud! I'll be there the whole weekend and performing on Friday - any other bhuzzers going to be there?!

Hey!!! We finally get to meet in person! I just decided to go after I got back from L.A. last week and Dee Dee said I could dance in the Friday show :) . . . I really love all three of these dancer! Aida is my fav but now that I've had Osama and Khaled, I just couldn't pass up the chance to take workshops from them again.

P.S. Lubna was awesome in L.A. as usual . . . shaabi and oriental!

And Friday is my bday - I can't wait to celebrate by dancing and getting to see you dance! I think I am going to do a shaabi choreo that Nasra, Osama's husband, taught me.

I'm tempted but with a hectic schedule can't commit yet. I hope to be there.

My hope is to go and enlist phillyraqs's help to keep Shiraz and Katrina up all night giggling, but I'm evil that way.

Isn't it Easter weekend, though? I'm not sure I can get away with that.

Sadly, this is cancelled. I am so bummed!

I vote for keeping Katrina and Shiraz awake anyway.

I did not hear that this was canceled. I teach at Dee Dee's studio in Texas. I'll call her at lunch to confirm but everything is still up on the website...

I am sorry to inform you all, but I have to cancel the event in New Jersey. I will be having an operation and this event falls too close to the operation date and I will require about 4-5 weeks of recovery time. I was supposed to have had it done before the Los Angeles event, but went ahead without it, and now must have the operation before the end of the month so that I may continue to hold other events in the future. Everyone who has paid for the event will receive their money back in full within 2-3 weeks. I apologize for any and all inconveniences. I spoke to her at length yesterday & she did not come to the decision lightly.

Fortunately the Toronto event is close by & promises to be a wonderful event

I am hoping everything is going to be ok with her. The procedure is to be done in Egypt. My prayers are with her for a speedy recovery!
