Thread: Camparet Bhuzzers

I just came back from Camparet, as last year it was wonderful, meeting all you great ladies and amazing instructors. I had an amazing time thanks Bahaia for this great event!
I am sorry if I don't remember all the Bhuz names with your real name, please post here or pm me, so we can stay in touch, thank you. :-)

it was tons of fun!

I had a great time! This will be an annual pilgrimage to the beautiful Texas Hill Country. It took 60 belly dancers dancing their hearts out to bring rain to this parched land. Bahaia was a gracious hostess and the staff was very warm and welcoming. I renewed friendships and made many new ones. The workshops were fantastic and the instruction was top notch. We even had some time for silly fun. This is me kissing the hem of Om's gown.

Aw, I missed you guys! So how was it?? Any good crazy stories this year? I understand there was a tarantula issue this year (???!!!) What was that all about?

It was a lot of fun!!! Thanks Anala for the wonderful cd's. Bahaia had told me about the Jalilah set of cds and when she found them in your box she said GET DOWN HERE NOW!!! They're wonderful, thanks again :-)

It was soooooo much fun! The instructors were all amazing and I met lots of wonderful people. Here's my favorite quote of the weekend (courtesy of Anala): "It's like drinking a hospital!"

I had a wonderful time as always. I don't know if I can even narrow it down to my favorite quote.

I must say that I quite enjoyed my bunkmates the most and already have next years camp on my calendar.

It's already on my calendar, too, Azraa! It was my first camp, but definitely won't be my last. I had a wonderful time, and I hated having to come back to the real world!

Andrea, thank you for bringing all the wonderful costumes to camp to dazzel us. :-)
I also hated coming back to the real world, dragging myself thru work.

OMG - I just saw this thread (seems Im a little slow on the forums at times)

Camparet 2011 was amazing - it was wonderful meeting so many of you lovely ladies. Ironically, I didn't realize so many were Bhuzzer's.

Makes me so sad I didn't take pictures, but I will say we had a rocking bunk! Cant wait for next year

Any of you guys coming out for Ahlan Cairo Nights or Ya Hallah???

We didnt meet but I think we both danced in the Friday Night show - I danced right after Tamra Henna

No, I am afraid not. I am a real estate volunteer these days, and can afford to make only one out of state pilgrimage a year.

Well, in March... I fear it may have to be a real estate pilgrimage to the big easy. I have never been there before, so while it is "work" related, I hope to have a good time.

I dont know much about the New Orleans dance scene but Im sure you could find a great dance club in that town - that could be a lot of fun!

Sorry you're not going to come out to any of the Texas events this year - at least next time we are in the same room together, we will recognize each other and can visit

It was so great seeing all of you at Camp last year. I'll be an instructor at Camparet this year - I hope to see many of you again! Word to the wise - get started on designing your bunk decorations NOW!
