Anyone going to Nile group in April?

I want to go & I'm saving up for the ticket right now. Last year the festival didn't happen but we had a great time anyway...

What are the dates? Who are you going with?

I'll either go by myself or with a friend or 2

The April festival starts on Monday the 16th & runs through Monday the 23rd. I dont stay at the Paramissia though, but will be local in Dokki a few blocks away

I just came back from the November one. It was included in Hadia's Turkey tour (one week in Istanbul, one in Cairo for the festival) this year. I had a great time but there are some issues. The evening shows were disorganized (and not in a cute, Arabic way - like a real disaster) so if you have the patience for wait around for the evening show to actually start and the energy to stay up late to see all performers, nap during the day!!

My favourite instructors (if they return) are Haten Hamdi, Mona Gharib, Farida Fatmy (a great teacher!!), Zahar from Germany and Tito. Camelia is absolutely terrible. Choose your classes carefully. They can be long and tiresome so 1-2 a day was the max for me. Any more and you stop absorbing anything. Hoda and Eman Zaki's atelier is just down the street from the Pyramisa. You must go see Randa!!!! She is so warm, cute and friendly in person. So genuine. Her show was magical.

Hi Hala - Unfortunately hurry up & wait w/ a dash of utter chaos is just sometimes the nature of the events over there... Cairo is a late night town & getting back in the wee hours is par for the course.

Still it is a great opportunity to get to study w/ fav teachers (gotta pick & choose) and to go see the designers at their ateliers. You can get to most places on the metro but Mohandeseen is a cab ride (but so worth going to see Amira & Lorna Glow lives right around the corner). Hanan is just 3 blocks for the Kobri El-Qobba station & you can get to Khan El-Khallili from the Attaba station

I am hoping the 25th goes by without too much incident & I everything will be fine in April
